Me Nathan Jane and Lilly sat around the hole in the dome just waiting, waiting for the gargants or council to strike again,the sound of helicopter blades spun in the wind.
"Look"Julian said pointing at a rough looking helicopter in the sky it was metal but dented and the blade was kind of cracked on the back.two doors on the side opened and two machine guns came out and bullets started firing all over the dome instantly cracking it. I jumped down the hole and landed on the path leading up the mountain Nathan, Jane and Lilly came down after but Julian laid up there on his back a pool of blood under him running down the side of the dome bullets shot through the dome and started hitting around us. The glass from the dome shattered and fell onto the ground I jumped back up to the hole and pulled myself up I ran over to Julian and pulled his arm but he didn't budge I lifted him up and pulled him over my shoulders and started walking back to the hole but the glass under my feet broke I threw Julian on the glass and grabbed the edge of the cracked hole I almost fell in and it cut you hand I grunted and tried to pull myself up but I couldn't Julian laid in the glass in front of me I looked down I was not even close to a path I was about three hundred feet above the ground I just dangled there until I couldn't take the pain anymore and I let go but Jane caught my wrist and I grabbed back onto the glass with my other hand and the glass went back into my hand she pulled me up and I laid on the glass she picked Julian up dragging his feet and she started yelling for me I got up slowly pushing my hands again the glass to get up pain shot through me. I jumped back down the hole and Jane and I carried Julian to a cave that Lilly and Nathan had found, Lilly put pieces of cloth around both my hands and went over to Julian.
"Is it bad" Jane said I looked at her confused
"Your hands did they get cut real bad"
"Oh not really, hurts really bad though" I answered
"All cuts do" Jane said smirking at me
Lilly came back over to us and said "it's really bad and I can't find the bullet"
"Is there anything you can do"Jane asked
"I can try to remove the bullet but it could kill him" she answered
"Do it" she said then Lilly looked at me and I nodded
She walked back over to him and started working
Me, Jane and Nathan stood around Lilly and watched her work until three ropes came down right outside the cave and gargants started coming down from the ropes I picked up my gun and ran outside of the cave but there where already troops on the ground outside I ran into one and pushed him off the ledge I felt a gun pushed against my head and a bullet went off and I turned around the barrel of janes gun was smoking she looked at me and then looked upwards towards the helicopter more gargants where coming down, more than we could handle Lilly turned around and said "we have to go" I just shook my head and she followed me out of the cave leaving Julian behind we ran down the path spiraling down the mountain bullet holes hit all around us we ran down until we reached round level and we ran to the edge of the dome and climbed through a hole created by the machine guns on the helicopter. Lilly me Nathan and Jane ran until the helicopter disappeared into the night sky lights from the barrels of the gargants gun flashed around us but they eventually turned around I wonder what will happen to Julian well what ever it is its my fault, we ran instead of staying and fighting for one of our friends.
"There picking us off one by one we need to hit them hard or they will just keep going until we are dead to"
Nathan said looking up at me Jane nodded her head
"Okay let's do it straight to the capital' I said
We stayed the night under a over hanging rock and in the morning we got up and picked apples off the tree near us and ate them for energy Nathan pulled a map out of his backpack and said
"Okay so we are here and we need to be here so let's go over the floating rocks"
We began walking and soon the air became hot no dry and cracks started to form in the ground. We stood on the edge of the cliff A rock was floating about five feet away from our ledge. Another rock was floating about 10 feet way from that one water poured down off one side of the rock.Nathan backed up and began to run toward the rock and he got to the edge and leaped onto the rock than Jane me an Lilly the next rock was to far to jump so Nathan got out his rope and threw it across but the rope didn't hook onto anything and it slipped down the rock was placed a little under the other one about ten feet away Nathan took a machete out of his bag and backed up on the rock and ran for the next one he jumped off and slammed the blade into the top of the other rock but the pressure of his weight made the blade slide down into the rock slowly slipping he reached for a handle on the rock but couldn't find one Lilly to the role and threw it across but it missed him completely she tried again and Nathan grabbed onto it and swung back under our rock me and Jane helped pull him back up to the rock.
"I almost made it with a boost I would have made it on Liam I guess it's your turn to try now" he said panting
