Chapter 2

I ran down the stairs with my bikini on and cover up, flip flops, phone, and wallet in hand. I threw on my cover up and flip flops, grabbing a small bag to put my phone and wallet in. I grabbed the headphones that were on the table and threw them in the bag too.  Ginger was in the midst of running down the stairs when we heard the door begin to open.

In walked two boys, probably around the same age as we are. The first one was tall and skinny. Not skinny where it was awkward, but just skinny. He had short blonde hair that swooshed to the side, but not too long where it was unattractive. He was wearing a tank that had bright green letters on it that said L.A. He was wearing khaki shorts and was carrying two suitcases.

The other boy was fairly tall, but a little bit more muscular than the other one. He had short brown hair, but his was in more of a quiff. He had gorgeous green eyes and was absolutely stunning. He was wearing a penny that said Orange County High School Lacrosse and navy blue shorts. He too was carrying two suitcases.

For a moment, no one moved. Ginger was still standing on the stairs, while I was in the middle of putting my hair in a messy bun. The boys both just stood there staring at the both of us and holding their bags. My curiosity got the best of me.

“Who the hell are you?” I demanded. I couldn’t believe that some random guys had just walked into our house.

“Who the hell am I? Who the hell are YOU!” The one with brown hair said. He stepped inside and his friend shut the door behind them. He dropped his bags and started to pick up my stuff.

“Hey! That’s my stuff! You can’t touch it!” I shouted, stomping my foot. He smirked at me and continued picking it all up. I ran over to him and tried to grab it, but he held it up.

“Seriously, give me back my stuff. And get the hell out of our house!” He stopped trying to keep my stuff away from me and it dropped out of his hand. My phone, wallet and keys clattered to the floor along with his jaw.

“Excuse me? YOUR HOUSE? This is our house for the rest of the summer. It’s my aunt and uncle’s house. They let us use it. So, get out.” Ginger removed her feet from the middle of the stairs and sprinted down.

“Ex-freaking-scuse me? Your aunt and uncles house?” She directed brunette boy and stomped her feet towards him. He looked frightened by her attitude and took a step back.

“Uh, yeah. My mom’s brother and sister-in-law.” He looked at her like she was crazy, while she looked more confused than every.

“OH MY FREAKING GOD. OH. EXCUSE ME?! HOW THE HELL DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!”  She started pacing around the room looking for her phone. She finally found her phone on the couch and started dialing, while muttering to herself.

“DAD! Yes, we’re here. Hey, um I have a question. So that sister of yours? Aunt Jill? Yeah that one I guess. Why did you not tell me about her son? AND THE FACT THAT YOU LET HIM BORROW THE BEACH HOUSE FOR THE SUMMER?!” she rolled her eyes and waited for him to respond, while the boys were whispering to themselves. I still hadn’t figured out what either of their names were. She hung up the phone and looked like steam was coming out of her mouth.

With sarcasm dripping from her mouth, Ginger said, “Well hello Colton Grey and Parker Evans. Welcome to my humble abode. Apparently for the summer we’re going to be living together. So, we call the biggest room.”
