Chapter 7: Elevators and Goodnights
"I'll drop by in a few :)" - Gwenevere.
I sent the text to Harry's phone letting him know that I would come and visit him and his friends in a little while. Minutes later I received a reply from him saying that was fine.
"Okay well I guess I should head off." I smiled towards my mum getting up from my seat. I kissed her cheek and picked up my bag ready to leave her hospital room.
"Okay Hun, have fun with your friends." She smirked.
"I will." I breathily chuckled as I opened the door.
"See you tomorrow Gwen."
"See you, Love you." I waved towards her as she lay in bed. I closed the door, the silence of the hall enveloping me. I was walking the small distance to Harry and his friends room to meet them and I was a little nervous. But I wouldn't show it. So just like I always do I put my head up, took a deep breath and relaxed. My hands made their way to knock at the door, looking at the numbers 122 that Harry had texted was his room. I could faintly hear quiet talking and laughter coming from within until it stopped when my hands made contact with the wood, knocking. The door swung open and Harry was stood staring back at me.
"Gwen!" He smiled and surprisingly wrapped his arms around me in a hug.
"Harry!" I mocked in return hugging him back.
"I'm glad you came." He gestured me in the room. The hospital room was pretty much the same as my mothers only slightly bigger and was littered with clothes and gifts that were given to the patient. I looked around as Harry closed the door behind me. 5 pairs of eyes stared back at me not including Harry's. 4 of the faces I recognised as Harry's band mates from One Direction but there was also another boy who I had yet to discover.
"Guys! Meet my friend Gwenevere!" Harry chirped placing his hand on the small of my back. It was odd, that small gesture gave me shivers but I brushed it off and refocused on reality.
"That's not even my name!" I looked at Harry frowning my eyebrows but a smile escaped my lips. "That's not my name." I laughed looking towards the boys who all had their attention on us.
"We'll sure it is!" Harry mocked confusion.
I ignored him and stepped towards the closest boy to me. "I'm Gwen" I smiled out stretching my hand for him to shake it. He accepted the offer and shook it politely. "Zayn" he replied.
"Louis!" The next boy with brown hair said cheerfully, wrapping his arms around me in a hug instead of taking my hand. I was confused and surprised to his kind gesture but I returned it anyway pulling away and continuing. Stepping toward the poor blonde haired boy in bed with the cast on his leg I shook his hand and introduced my self, with him introducing himself as Niall.
"Josh." The next boy shook my hand smiling. He had brown hair slightly darker than Louis and a large tattoo on his arm. "Im their Drummer." He said cocking his head towards the boys. Ooh a drummer I thought to my self.
"Hello im Liam." The boy next to Josh introduced himself. He was tall, well they all were but he seemed oddly taller. Or maybe he just looked more muscular. "Gwen." I smiled and stepped back next to Harry.
"Harry's told us so much about you !" Louis said smirking to himself. Harry talked about me? I hope it was good...
"Really Harold ?" I asked with raised eyebrows looking to him.
"Well not really, I mean like I did but like -" he stuttered out. The boys all laughed at him, me joining in with them.
"Umm ill get you a chair." Harry awkwardly left the room flustered. The sound of the door closing silencing us. I crossed my arms over my chest, it seemed I was the only one who noticed the awkward silence.
