"Right then! Where and when do you want to go?" I asked, smiling. This was actually pretty exciting! The girls looked at each other,

"Something amazing!" Rubix said. I grinned, I knew exactly where to take them. After a minute of running around the control panel flipping switches and turning knobs, we arrived at our destination. Claire and Rubix looked excited, nervous, and a little scared. With a laugh, I snapped my fingers, and the doors opened, revealing the vastness of space. However, this wasn't just any empty space.

"Two black holes colliding, creating gravitational waves that will send a ripple through the space-time fabric of the universe!" I said proudly.

"Oh my god, its....space! Were actually in space! I can't believe it!" Claire shouted, looking pale but excited.

"Yeah! But....how are we, you know, breathing?" Rubix asked.

"Don't worry about that. My TARDIS creates a little bubble of air whenever were in space, as long as you don't go too far out, you'll be perfectly fine." I said, reassuring her. Rubix just nodded slowly, taking in the sight before them. There were two great big black holes, sucking in all the stars and light around them. However, the black holes were slowly drifting towards each other, each unable to escape the gravitational pull of the other.

"Wait, a.....time-space ripple? That doesn't sound too good, right? Is that bad?" Claire asked, looking a little pale.

"Oh not at all! Ripples are harmless. Cracks in time and space, well, those can do quite some damage, but cracks have to be fixed. Ripples will pass." I answered, hmm, they seem to be taking this rather well.

"Okay.......so what does a ripple do?" Rubix asked. I grinned.

"Glad you asked! Because a ripple isn't permanent, it will only affect the time-space fabric for about an hour. However during that hour, a different version of reality is revealed. And the best part is, even though the rest of the universe forgets it ever happened, because we are all currently exposed to the time vortex in my TARDIS, we get to remember it!" The girls just grinned.

"Allons-y!" Claire yelled, Rubix laughed, and I sent us hurtling to a different reality.

We arrived on a street corner in London, Rubix and Claire bursting with excitement.

"Alright, you guys have an hour to explore and then get back here, stick together." I told them.

"Aren't you coming with us?" Rubix asked.

"Naw, I um, I want to meet someone."

"Who do you.....oh, okay, we'll see you in an hour." Claire said, understanding what I wanted to do. And with that the girls ran off, probably to get into all sorts of trouble. Yep, this was an alternate reality indeed, there wasn't any Starbucks shops. This was a whole new world. Alright, lets do this. It was a big risk, but I had to take it. I had a plan, a plan to meet my father. Since the Doctor was also a time traveler, he would also remember the events that would unfold, so I had to be careful. Because we had already met at that hospital, he would remember me, but since this was an alternate reality, I could pretend to have no idea who he was, and meet him, for real this time. All I had to do was locate them with my Molecular vortex manipulator by targeting creatures with two hearts, and pretend to just, happen to meet him. Right, I jotted in the codes on the manipulator on my wrist, and I found him almost immediately, and he was close too, only two blocks away. To conceal the manipulator, I pulled the sleeve of my jean jacket over it, I had found some spare clothes on my TARDIS, and if the Doctor saw me carrying around a vortex manipulator, he would get suspicious. Time to meet my dad. I ran along the sidewalks, of rather, the ground, since the was no level change between the roads and the concrete, and even between the building there was no grass, just the concrete. Odd. Anyway, I arrived at the location shortly, thanks to my slightly inhuman speed. As soon as I saw the TARDIS, I felt it connect to me, filling the gap in my mind. It greeted me, completely unsurprised that I was here. I barely had time to smile at the sight of my old friend when one of the doors opened, and the Doctor walked out, Donna with him. After exchanging a few words, Donna half walked, half jogged off, it reminded me of when I had let Rubix and Claire go explore on their own, I hope their okay, uh oh, The Doctor spotted me, I feigned surprise, saying

"H-how did that just appear out of no where?" Oh god, I was a horrible actor. I was certain the Doctor saw right through my little lie, but he played along, pretending not to recognize me.

"Magic, whats your name?"

"Melody" I replied, not thinking, oh no, alternate universe, not many people keep the same name! Ugh, this was going real south real fast. Sure enough, he frowned.

"Melody huh? I know a girl called Melody. Melody Smith, if I recall correctly, have you met her?" His eyes were piercing, I hadn't thought I would ever feel, afraid, of my own father.

"No, I haven't, my name's...Hath, Melody Hath." Great, could this get any worse? Sure enough, his eyes narrowed.

"Theres a species called the Hath. An alien species, ring any bells for you, Melody?" My hearts sunk. Great, now he probably thought I was some alien spy sent here or something.

"Aliens? I think the only alien around here is you, space-man!" My eyes widened, I had used one of Donna's catchphrases, uh oh, big mistake.

"Space-man huh? I'll have you know my name's the Doctor." His eyes were searching mine, I kept my face blank.

"Doctor who?" I asked.

"Exactly" He started to walk away, no no no! I came here to meet him, I'm not letting this opportunity get away! So I ran up to him.

"Oy! I was talking to you!" He glanced sideways at me.

"Oh were you now? Oh thats nice." He looked back foreword. I stopped, my hearts sinking.

"No, please... I, I......but I......please, don't leave." I asked him, showing a vulnerable side I didn't even know I possessed. He stopped, and looked at me, but this time, with kindness in his eyes.

"Then come with me." I smiled shyly, and ran up to him.

"Have you ever met me before? Be honest." He asked, but the kindness in his eyes was reflected in his voice.

"I.....um, its complicated." I answered.

"This is an alternate reality, so you should just be like a fictional character, but you remember me from somewhere, you know you do. And if your not just an echo of the girl I met, then your the real thing. So if your the real thing, you had to have came here with the TARDIS. And, by being on board the TARDIS, you remember things other people don't, thus, you remember me, so why don't you tell me how exactly you came to be here, and who you are, because those last names are no coincidence." Oh........oops, I guess my acting skills weren't exactly on point.....

"I, my name is Melody, as for the last name bit, I don't have an answer for you there. I haven't got one."

"Why no last name? Did you never learn it?" Okay, his voice was still kind, but how do I answer that?

"Um, its not that I never learned it, its that I literally haven't got a last name." He frowned, and I could almost see the gears turning in his head, trying to figure me out.

"You haven't got one? Who's your parents? They must not be very good ones if they didn't give you a last name." I almost laughed at the sheer irony.

"My parents are pretty great, thank you very much, and....well.... lets say that i've never met my parents." Never met them? More like I've met them but they have no idea I'm their daughter because I was born because of a glitch in a soldier-generating machine to fight a war against the Hath. So yeah. He frowned again, but not at me, he was just concentrating. My molecular vortex manipulator beeped, informing me that the hour was almost up, and it was time to go.

"I have to go now! Places to be you know? Sorry Doctor, but i've got an awful lot of running to do!" And with that, I took off full-speed (Which was like a 4-minute mile speed) to get to my TARDIS without him seeing. I didn't want him knowing everything, not yet anyway.

"Wait! How are you going so fast! Hang on! Melody!" I heard him shout, running after me. But I was too fast, I quickly lost him. As soon as I caught sight of my TARDIS, and, thank god, Claire and Rubix standing outside of it, waiting, I snapped my fingers, opening the doors, yelling,

"Get in! Quickly!" Eyes wide, the girls obeyed, and I zoomed throughout the doors, jolting to a stop against the control board. Ouch. But I ignored the pain and started flying away, far away. Thankfully, I had been quick enough that he hadn't seen me go into my TARDIS, nor had he seen it take off. So I left the Doctor standing on a street corner, wondering who Melody was, what Melody was, her connection to him, and where the heck she disappeared to.
