"Welcome to my bedroom," Lucas said, spreading his arms out.

Wow.

It was huge. His room's walls were a baby blue, and his bed sat in the left corner. He had a white desk and a couch off to another side. Several baseball posters covered the walls and a few athletic awards covered a shelf. Everything was either a white, baby blue, or a light green. A few beanbags were in a corner, and two other doors were there, probably for a closet and bathroom.

Maya thought back to her room, and that insecure feeling arose.

"Have a seat," he said in a weird accent, and Maya laughed.

Lucas grinned and Maya plopped into a bean bag.

"So, what brings you here m'am?" He had his light southern drawl.

"I just wanted to, ya know, talk."

"Okay, but why?"

"Listen Huckleberry, I'm Maya, I don't need a reason for some of the crazy stuff I do," she smiled. "Besides, sometimes I feel like we're only friends when Riley and Farkle are around. I barely know you."

"Okay, what do you want to know?" He threw himself in a beanbag beside her.

"Um.. favorite color?" She scrunched up her face as he laughed.

"You came all the way over here to know what my favorite color was?"

"Yes," she said, pointing her nose in the air.

"Okay,"he laughed. "It's blue. You?"

She thought.

"It changes every once in a while. For example," she looked him in the eye."Right now it's green."

"Cool, my turn. Favorite... animal?"

"Ooh, that's a toughie. Um.. I'd have to say... horse."

"Really?" He said, controlling a laugh.

"What- ohhhhh gosh." She put her head in between her hands.

"Cause ya know ma'm, I got a few horses on my ranch. Would ya like to ride one?" He emphasized his accent.

"Shut up," she swatted at his shoulder, but she was laughing.

"Okay Bucky McBoing Boing, what about you?"

"I'd have to say horse, too."

"Okay, let's do something else, what do you want to do?"

"Want to.. play a video game?"

"Sure," she shrugged.

He stood up and grabbed her wrist, before he dropped it like it was on fire.

"What?" Maya asked.

"Oh, uh, nothing."

She looked at him with an eyebrow raised, but he was already walking.

He led her into a room with lots of screens.

"This is the game room," he said, sitting on a couch.

He leaned his back against an armrest, his feet on the middle cushion.

Maya walked over and did the same, except on the other rest, so their feet were touching.

He threw her a controller and started up the game.
