Chapter 3: Introducing Them

Lila's POV:

As I lead him away from school we talk about him a little. We seem to like the same things, we will be great friends. "Do you trust me?" I ask. He looks at me with a confused look but says yes. I nod and walk faster, him struggling to keep up.

Danny's POV:

We stop at a house with a forest behind it. I hear a roar and scream a little at the noise. "Don't be scared." she says. We walk to the door and she pulls out her keys and unlocks it. "Where are your parents?" I ask, she gets a sad look then says "They're both dead, I'm over it though. I live alone here." She gets some fruit out of the refrigerator and offers me some. We eat the really sweet fruit while watching some anime. I hear a scratch on the back door and then a loud roar. I scream in fright. She calmly gets up and takes my hand. She's leading me to the back door! What is she doing? There's probably a bear outside! "You said you trust me, right?" I nod at her question. She opens the door and walks out with her hand in mine still. She shouts "Neko! Come here I know you're close!" Who's Neko?

Lila's POV:

I call for Neko to introduce her to Danny. She smelled him inside, that's why she was roaring. I see her jump from a tree and start walking to us. Danny tries to run but I don't let him, instead I pull him to her. She stands up and kind of hugs me. Danny screamed "Stop attacking her! No!" I laughed and Neko sat down. He had a confused and scared look on his face. "This is Neko, my only friend here. She's friendly, don't worry." I sit with Neko and pat in front of me for Danny. He sits down nervously, I pet Neko and tell him to pet her too. "She won't bite." I say while laughing. After a day of playing with Neko and making Danny happy again and forget the bullying he asks if I wanted to come to his house and stay the night. I say yes and get a backpack ready. I grab my school bag too so I can go to school tomorrow. "Can Neko come? I can't sleep without knowing she's outside my window." he says "Sure, just make sure she doesn't roar while at my house." I say "Hear that Neko, no roaring or scratching while at Danny's house. She understands you by the way."

Danny's POV:

We walk to my house with Neko. I'm surprised she's friends with a panther. How did a panther even get here? Our town doesn't have any other panthers here. Oh well, we arrived at my house and I told my mom "This is Lila, she protected me from Ralph today. She punched him once and he went flying ten feet. Lila's my new friend so yeah. Can she stay the night with her cat?" my mom replied "Sure sweetie, I don't see a cat though." Lila said "Neko is outside. I'll introduce you two."
