Chapter 2: Are You Okay?

Lila's POV:

Today is Tuesday, another day of school. I see Milo and that other guy, I decide to hang out with them again today. As I walk to them I see that Milo is shouting at some jock. I start running to them to see what's happening. When I get closer I hear Milo shouting "WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT? WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO PICK ON DANNY ALL THE TIME?" Danny? That must be his friend. I see "Danny" hiding in a corner and run to him. "You must be Danny. Sorry I never learned your name yesterday." I say to him. He nods and wipes his cheek with his sleeve. Is he crying? I pull him into a hug, I don't even know why. He wraps his arms around me and I can hear him crying softly. He whispers "Ralph said I was a nothing, I should kill myself, I was an emo girl that needs to die. He laughed at me, so did the girls and his friends..." I start to get really mad.

Milo's POV:

I see Lila talking to Danny in the corner of me eye. I'm glad he has another friend. She suddenly gets up and tensely walks over. I stop shouting when she reaches Ralph. "So you're Ralph?" she asks. "Yeah baby. Why"  He replies. She had her head down and her hair was covering her face. Her head shot up and her eyes were completely black, not her usual grey, she had this mad and evil look on her face. "You're the one that was making fun of Danny?" she asked and he replied with "Yeah sweetheart."

Lila's POV:

HE HURT DANNY! I punch his chest as hard as I could and he flew ten feet. "If you ever talk to him again I'll put you in the hospital nearly dead."

Milo's POV:

DAYUM! He flew ten feet from one punch! She's really strong! Her eyes went back to grey, that's weird. She calmly went back to Danny and I followed her. She hugged him affectionately and he started sobbing. She said "Tell the teacher we will be missing school, make sure you let him know who sent the message and what happened." I was confused but did as told.

Danny's POV:

She's strong. Why did she protect me, I'm a nobody. "You aren't a nobody, you deserve to live, no one should say those things to you." She said. I say "W-Why'd you do that?" "I don't know exactly, I guess you can say I'm really protective over you." She said while smiling at me. "Can you stand?" I nodded yes. She helped me up and started walking away from the school. I followed "Thank you for standing up for me." I say and she replies "No need to thank me, I only did what was necessary."
