A Promise Never Broken

Becoming ANBU?

Naruto woke up in a strange house. It was dimly lit by a candle.

By his side was a gray haired boy.

Naruto alarmed, put his emotional mask on. He was staring into space asthe gray haired boy with a mask turned around to see him.

"Oh, you're awake. Are you okay?" asked the gray haired boy.

"Yes. Thank you for saving me." Naruto said in a dull voice.

The boy noticed this and knew that Naruto had an enotional mask on. Not only was it noticeable, but the gray haired boy had experience with that kind of masks as well.

"I'll take mine off if you take yours as well." offered the gray haired boy.

Naruto was actually surprised that the boy saw through him.

At that moment, Naruto broke. His mask shattered into pieces.

Naruto suddenly began crying uncontrollably and jumped into the Gray haired boy's arms.

The Gray haired boy was startled by this but nontheless, he returned the hug.

Naruto cried into the boy's bare skin. He had barely noticed that the boy was shirtless. Not that he cares. He was extremely sad to even care.

"Its okay. Everything will be okay." the boy tried to calm Naruto. Which actually worked.

"What's your name?" asked the boy.

"N-Naruto Namikaze-Uzumaki." Naruto answered.

"Nice to meet you, Naruto. I'm Kakashi Hatake." Kakashi answered.

Naruto looked at Kakashi and hugged him again.

"Thank you very much for saving me." thanked Naruto.

"Its okay. No need to thank me. But, why were you alone and running from that drunk villager?" asked Kakashi.

Naruto suddenly teared again.

"My dad, mom, and sister ignore me. They only focus on their precious daughter." Naruto said with venom in his words.

Kakashi looked at Naruto with a suspicious eye.

"Who's your family?" asked Kakashi.

"Minato Namikaze, Kushina Uzumaki, and their precious daughter is Mito Namikaze-Uzumaki." Naruto said.

Kakashi was surprised that his ex sensei favors one child more than the other. This was completely against what Minato had taught him.

"Naruto, whats you rank?" Kakashi asked.

If Naruto knew this, he was already in the academy which was good.

"Im a genin." answered Naruto leaving an impressed Kakashi

At this moment, Kakashi knew that Naruto was a prodigy. No one but his comrade, Itachi Uchiha, was a genin at such a young age.

"I see. Well then, what would you say if i asked you to be an ANBU after you turn chuunin?" asked Kakashi.

Naruto looked at him with sparkles in his eyes and jumped in glee and said...

"Of course I would say yes!" Naruto answered

"Then its settled. When you turn into a Chuunin, you will become an ANBU." stated Kakashi.

Naruto just smiled widely and celebrated.
