Chapter 8
Daniel sat there groggy for a couple of seconds and then when Belle collapsed he freaked out. What had he done to make her faint? He struggled to untangle himself out the sheets on the pull-out bed and pulled her onto his lap. She was still breathing luckily. He traced his finger across her lips before kissing them. He was surprised when her eyes fluttered open. Hmmm... guess my kisses are magical he thought. She gazed at him, a faint trace of wondering in her eyes. Then her eyes enlarged in shock and squirmed to get out of his lap. Her eyes quickly flicked up and down his body, partially covered by the sheets.
He was still there. Still clearly naked. Oh dear god why is he so irresistible she thought as she pulled the sheets up over her chest. Daniel glanced at her before pulling her back onto his lap and wrapping his arms around her in a bear hug. She nuzzled his neck, breathing in his sweet but musky scent. He kissed her delicately on her lips, tugging her loose tendrils of hair behind her neck. She whined a little when his lips left hers and moved his lips and kisses down her neck. He stopped at the base of her neck. At this point she was literally purring and squirming with absolute desire for more of him and everything he is. Daniel massaged her lower back with light pressure, tickling the absolute lowest part of Belle's back. She giggled a little but it quickly turned to slight and pitiful moans as he continued kissing her, now at her shoulder blades.
How was he doing this to her? AGAIN? He didn't even barely have to touch her and she was practically shaking with need.
“Daniel… what are you still doing here?” Belle whispered, hugging her knees to her chest. “What.. what do you mean? We..” Daniel answered, his voice trailing off as he reached out to rest a hand on her bare shoulder. She flinched and slid closer to the end of the bed and slid off, her feet hitting the floor. Daniel pouted slightly and rose onto his feet also. Belle tugged the loose sheets off the bed, wrapping the rest of her naked body up before turning to face him. Her cheeks flushed with color when she saw his manhood, before staring into his eyes . “I know what we did last night Daniel. I asked why you were still here.” Belle said, her voice trembling.
“I’m here because we made love last night Belle. Wonderful and glorious love. You felt that spark last night, well I thought you did. Belle, call me crazy but I’m in love with you.” Daniel said, taking her hands in his. Belle grimaced as a tear slid down her cheek, “Daniel.. I.. This can’t happen. You don’t know what goes on in my life. I see.. weird things. Like fairies and strange gargoyle looking creatures. And I swear my mother’s driver, Geffrey, is a some creature. He acts so strange sometimes..” Daniel was still looking into her eyes but she saw the corner of his mouth turned up into a small grin. He started chuckling and pulled her into a hug. “Don’t laugh! It’s been like this for ages. You don’t get what it was like when I was a teen and calling yourself crazy for seeing such things!” Belle shouted, pushing away from him. Daniel frowned and pulled her back into his arms, “Belle, I don’t mind. I was only laughing at the face you were making, dear.” Belle shrugged, turning and headed towards her small bathroom. “I’m going to take a shower and get dressed. Hurry up and dress while I’m in there. Then we can talk about breakfast.”
-------
Belle pattered towards her kitchen, now fully clothed and a towel wrapped around her head due to her damp hair. Murphy followed her, trailing just behind her small ankles, all the while mewing and purring. As she got closer to her kitchen, a large draft of air came and entered her nose; the sweet smell of coffee tickled her nose. She found Daniel sitting at the small table, a cup of coffee in one hand and the morning paper in the other. She hadn’t heard the door open at all but shrugged and headed towards the pot of coffee sitting on the counter. Belle turned and leaned against the counter, sipping her coffee, looking Daniel over. His hair had settled somewhat from the sleepy mess it had been earlier that morning. He has his undershirt on from the day before and at least he donned his boxers now, she thought. Daniel peered up at her from behind the paper and his cup and grinned, “You even look sexy now. That color makes your eyes pop.”
Belle’s cheeks flushed with nervousness and glanced down at her peach top, “Really? I always thought it made my skin look too pink.” Daniel shook his head, “Nope. You look absolutely per…” Belle gave him a questioning look when he stopped suddenly. He set his cup down, his eyes wide in a sort of panic. “Daniel…?” she whispered, stepping forward to walk towards him. He jumped up, sending Murphy into a frantic. Murphy skittered into the other room as Daniel threw the paper down and walked into the room after Murphy. Belle followed him to find him frantically picking his things up and tugging his shoes on. “Daniel, what’s wrong?” Belle asked, her eyes brimming with tears, her voice trembling with the thoughts of what could happen. “I… I need to go Belle. I need to think about some things. Okay? I’ll .. I’ll call you when I’m ready to talk to you again.”
