As Logan confirmed my theorys he grabbed my hand and pulled me from my crumbling room and down the stairs to the dining room. "Get under the table and stay here untill I come back!" Logan shouted over the rumbling and shaking of the house foundations. "Where are you going?! Are you crazy?!" I screamed back at him. He may be the most annoying neighbour in the world but that doesnt mean I wanted him to die! A long time ago we used to be really close friends untill he started teasing me when he saw my glasses when I have since gotten rid of.
"I'm going to get my survival pack!"
"Wait! You didn't bring it with you?!"
"No! I had to see you were safe first!"
"Logan!..." I screamed but he was already half way out of the house. After what felt like forever, I felt someone slide in under the table beside me. I looked over and saw Logan. I couldn't stop myself from reaching out and hugging him. I was so glad he was safe! He hugged me back and started to say sweet nothings in my ear, obviously thinking I was afraid. I was far from it, I was just eager for the rumbling of the earth to be over so we could get outside and assess the damage that had been done. As Logan and I stayed in our embrace I couldn't help but think of the time when we were best of friends. "I know what your thinking." Logan said just loud enough to be heard over the growling earth. I pulled back from his body and looked at him with questioning eyes. He looked back at me with what looked like a sympathetic glance. "I miss it too. When we were friends and you were less of a geek." I suddenly felt a bubble of anger inside of me. Logan, try as he might to be sweet, can take the simplest things and make himself even more of a jerk. I glared at him and moved away from his warm body. This time it was his turn to give me a questioning stare. I continued to glare at him. Something behind Logan smashed as he turned around and got out from under the table to see if he could scavenge any more supplies. As he did so I went in pursuit but a heavy weight crashed on top if me and stopped me in my tracks. The last thing I remember was my vision blurring and Logan screaming my name befor everything went black...
