I'm so sorry

AJ's POV
After a morning of sorting and eating apples, Dash and I decided to go shopping. Since the mall was only a half mile away, we decided to walk...er, roll in Dash's case. I left Dash in the shoe department while I ran to the candy store. I bought Rainbow some Skittles and myself some cherry licorice. I ran back to Rainbow, hiding the bag behind my back. "Where were you? You had me worried." Dash said sincerely. I take the bag from behind my back and hold up the candy. I hand her the rainbow treats. "Tank kou." Dash says like a little kid. I laugh.
We leave the store, not finding anything we want. During the trip back, I get a call from Sunset Shimmer. Since Dash had my phone in her hand, she answers. "Who is this? My name is Sunset Shimmer." Rainbow says imitating Sunset. "Dash, if you won't give Applejack back her phone, at least ask her if Twi and I can come over tonight." "Uh, sugarcube, you're on speaker. But, yeah you guys can come over. Dash 'ill be there too. We'll set up a room for you two." I say teasingly. "Shut up, AJ, we'll be there at seven. Bye Appledash." Sunset revolts. Dash and I both blush. "Bye Sunlight." Rainbow says in reply and hangs up.
We arrive back at the barn and I grab the basket Granny Smith left. I wheel Dash up the hill to my favorite spot. It's here my mother used to take me and we would talk and laugh. I tear up. I was able to hold it in until we got to the top of the hill. Rainbow and I sit on the blanket and I break down. "Apples, what's wrong?" Dash says moving next to me. She opens her arms and I fall into them. She starts to sing the same song I sang to her in the music room.

I look up at her and she wipes my tears away. I give her a weak grin. "Now tell me what's wrong." I take a shaky breath and sigh. "Before my parents.....left, my mother used to take me up here and tell me stories, jokes, and we just talked. It's always been my favorite place. I remember my favorite story. It was about how I would find my true love. Heh, I would always say how I didn't want some handsome prince, I just wanted someone who would love me for me. She told me how love worked. She said it was about the conditions you have for a partner and if you find someone who meets those standards." I start to cry again. "That was the last story she ever told me. We went on a camping trip the next day. In the middle of the night, a pack of rabid wolves attacked. My parents told me and my brother to take Applebloom and go. They sacrificed themselves for us. Before we ran, my mother put her hat on my head. She said she would always love me and my siblings. We ran to Granny Smith's house, which wasn't far. She called the police, but it was too late. The wolves were attracted to the pick of hotdog I dropped. My mom died because of my carelessness. I was powerless to save her, all I could do was run from my problems." By the end of my story, I had completely lost it. My body racked with sobs and Dash gave a shoulder to cry on. "Applejack, look at me. It wasn't your fault. I know the your mother is watching down on you right now, and she knows it wasn't your fault." "Thanks Rainbow. I've never told anyone that. It felt good to get it all out. Want some cider?" I say, trying to lighten the mood. She accepts and we dine.
At about six thirty, Dash and I head inside and set up a room in my house for Twi and Sunset. We actually had to get them their own room because there wasn't enough space in mine for them. At six forty five, they arrive. Sunset was pretty angry about the room thing, but Twi was fine with it. "Hey, why don't we play truth or dare?" Rainbow suggests. We all agree and start. "Dash, since you suggested this game, truth or dare?" Sunny asked. "Uh, let's do....truth!" "Ok, easy. Do you like anyone?" Rainbow goes red. She swallowed and replied. "Y-yes." "Ok, now it's your turn. I know how this works since last time, Applejack." I grin, remembering the sleepover with Rarity. "Ok then.... Applejack, true or dare?" I smirk. "Dare." "Good. I dare you to dare Sunset to make Sunlight happen, aka they kiss. Sunset, Twilight, you can't get out of this." "Ok, Sunset truth or dare?" She sighs. "How many time can I say truth before you think I like her?" "Zero, Sunset, zero. We can't get out of this, but you can choose dare or truth. I don't care." Twi states the inevitable. "Fine then truth." "Sunset, does your barn door swing that way for Twilight here?" She takes a shaky breath and Twilight grabs her hand. They kiss. Dash and I leave the room. " I'm gonna say it, they're adorable and perfect for each other!" "Rainbow, are you fangirling again?" Sunset teases. Dash lightly slugs her.
After I have to drink blended pizza, Dash has to sing the Barbie song, Sunset admits she has failed a math test, and Twi burns a book, we finally head to bed. After I hear snoring, I get back up to go watch a movie. Because it was already in the DVD player, I decided to watch Tangled.
At the part where Rapunzel is healing Eugene's hand, I started thinking. Do I actually love someone? Besides family, of course. Well, there's the girls but those are like my sisters. Rainbow Dash...... I love her, don't I? She's beautiful, kind, smart, and I need her. She has made my life so much better. She filled that hole left when my parents died. She needs me too.
I hear a small thud and dismiss it as the wind. I hear a louder one and become suspicious. "Ahh!" I hear a small yelp. I run to the hall to see what's the matter and find Dash on the floor rubbing her head and arms. "Apples? Why are you doing up?" "Wasn't tired. What on earth did you do?" "May have sorta got a nightmare, forgotten that I was at your house, and tripped over this book? I hope I didn't wake Sunlight up." "Nah, they're out cold. I'll be back in a couple of minutes, ok? Go back to bed."
Seconds after Dash left, Applebloom walked in. "Knew you'd be up. I wanna talk about what you and Rainbow saw." Applebloom said. I motioned for her to sit down. I took a deep breath. "I accept you and Scoots. Actually, I think you're adorable together." She flushed a bright red in the dim light. "Thanks, sis. But what about Big Mac and Granny Smith?" A small smile slinked onto my face. "They'll understand. And Scootaloo, you could have come in. But now, please do." A slim figure plopped down on the couch. Applebloom moved next to her, snuggling in her embrace. "I need love advice." "Why in tarnation would you need love advice, AJ?" My sister questioned. I took a shaky breath. "I'm in love with Rainbow." Their mouths dropped open. After the initial moment of surprise, they both began squealing with excitement. I shushed them, not wanting to draw attention. "I know how you can win her over. Take her to the same place AB took me! Here's the map." Scootaloo said, handing me the piece of paper. "Thank you. Now off to bed, y'all. Aren't y'all bowling tomorrow?" They scurry upstairs, leaving me to my own devices.
I walk down the hall to find a small, blue light emitting from my room. I walk inside to see Rainbow on her phone. She notices me, turns red, and chucks her phone into her backpack, which was on the other side of the room. " Nice arm. You should try out for the baseball team. " "Maybe. Uh, AJ, can I ask you for advice? For my cousin...yeah, my cousin." Rainbow asked shyly. "Uh, sure, I guess." "So, uh she moved to this town a few days ago and she has a crush on somebody who was really nice to her. The problem is that she doesn't think they like her back. How would she tell if they did?" "Well, I think she should wait a bit and see what happens. You can't force someone to love you. If you're patient, good things will come. Now, I'm plum tuckered out. Night."
1 in da morning cause yeah
I woke up to creaking of the door. Dash limped out of the room, apparently trying not to wake me. I silently follow her to the roof hatch. She found the small crook where I would always hide for hide and seek. In a small, choked voice, she starts to sing.
Stars and moons and air balloons
Fluffy clouds to the horizon
All wrap you in rainbows....
She looks up and sighs. A single tear escapes from her eye. She finds a comfortable spot and quickly falls asleep. I head back to my room and grab a quilt. I write note and leave it next to Dash. It says:
Heard you leave
Found you up here and put blanket over you

I head back to my sleeping bag and hatch my plan.

Hey guys! That was sad chapter, I know. But I was sad while writing it. I need sleep so....
