I'm sorry for the late update. There are some things going on in my life that make it difficult to focus on writing.. I'm kind of discouraged despite the many reads this story has gotten already. Thank you guys so much, I really appreciate it. I'll try to write some more chapters in my vacation because I won't be able to write soon due exams.
Here's the seventh chapter, hope you'll enjoy it!

"Lisbon?!"

"Lisboooooonnn"

"Liiiiisboonnnnnnnnn"

"What is it Jane?"

"I miss you"

"You're nearly 5 meters away from me"

"The distance is still too big to my opinion."

He had been acting like this for the last 2 hours and it was annoying her, a lot. She rolled with her eyes.

"Why don't you help me filling in the paperwork then?"

"Meh"

And not to forget, he was still lying on his couch. Or she'd rather call it his wife since he was practically sticked to that couch. They were in the bullpen, she was handling a case they just cleared and Jane was doing nothing as usual.

She checked her watch and realized it was almost lunch time. She got up from her chair, decided to leave her desk like the messy way it was right now and walked over to Jane and his beloving couch.

"Jane. I'm going to have lunch.. "

He turned to her, was now lying on his side and forced a quick smile. "Have fun"

"I don't think it'll be fun.. "

"Remember when we promised eachother we would always look at the bright side?"

She crossed her arms. "You were trapped in a restroom in a cafe that was on fire. Tell me exactly how you stayed positive then? "

"I knew I was going to die 'hot'"

"Good for you"

"You're the one who asked"

His cheeky smile made her chuckle softly. "See you later silly"

"I miss you already"

"Bye Jane." She sighed, turned around and started to head towards the elevator.

"Lisbooon?" He whined again. She stopped and looked over her shoulder.

"What?"

"Bring me a taco" He said, smirking. She rolled with her eyes. No way she was going to get him a taco.. He'd better get one himself so he has atleast done something productive today. Without even replying, she stepped in to the elevator that had just arrived and grabbed her phone out of her pocket. One text message from Marcus Pike.

Marcus Pike to Teresa Lisbon
'On my way x'

She sighed again. This was going to be a long day.

(15 minutes later)

The birds were chirping, the sun was shining brightly and the weather was warm today. Pike and Lisbon were sitting on a bench in the park, both eating a sandwich and drinking delicious coffee they had just bought. They discussed cases, talked about recent happenings, told eachother stories and made jokes about anything. He made hilarious remarks that made her laugh, surprisingly. They looked like best friends instead of enemies. Lisbon was actually enjoying the time she spent with Marcus, even though he might have attacked Jane and had almost killed him the other day.

"How did you manage to get him out of there?" She asked.

"I heard someone banging against a door. I followed the sound and noticed the door of the restroom was blocked by a couple of fallen planks. I moved them out of the way, managed to get the door open and got him out of the building."

She had to admit she was pretty impressed.. "Why didn't you become a fireman instead?"

"Why didn't you become a model instead?"

"Don't flirt with me Marcus."

"I'm not flirting. I just love to tell people how beautiful they are."

She let out a grumpy sigh and took a bite from her sandwich. There was a short kind of awkward silence that was broken after a couple of seconds by Pike asking another question.

"What do you see in him?"

"Who?"

"Jane."

"He's.. Intelligent .. He understands me.. I've worked with him for more than 10 years .. Our relationship is very strong.. "

"I see. What did you see in me? I mean.. It's obvious you liked him even before you met me."

She shrugged.

"I was some sort of distraction, wasn't I? He kept rejecting you so you gladly enjoyed my company to forget him."

She glared at him, not knowing what to answer. Subconsciously, she knew he was telling the truth but admitting it wasn't an option.

"I don't know."

"You always have an answer for everything. Don't tell me you don't know if you really loved me or not."

"I did love you."

"You left me in DC."

"I just realized everything was happening too fast for me."

"Why didn't you tell me so? I would've gone easier on you."

"Because you forced me! You kept asking me to go with you!"

He sighed. "And I'm sorry."

She decided to change the subject. "Have you ever heard of a man named Jura Williams?"

"No."

"Okay." She looked at her watch and nodded quickly, deciding it was time to leave.

"I have to go to the job again. See you later Marcus." She got up from the bench and smiled softly at him. He smiled back, took a bite from his sandwich and stood up too.

"It was nice talking to you again Teresa."

She just kept smiling, turned around and gladly walked away from him. Pike grabbed his phone out of his pocket when she was almost out of sight and dialed a number.

"Jura, It's time for action." He looked at her again and grinned. Jane was going to pay for taking his Teresa. He was going to pay in a very painful way..
