Chapter 3

*Buzz* Miranda grabbed her phone on her bedside table and checked her notifications. She smiled when she saw that it was Jack, he had uploaded a new video for today. She grabbed her small laptop up onto her bed and opened it up quickly. Miranda opened up Youtube and instantly went to Jacksepticeye's channel to see the new video. She clicked the video and waited for the page to load. And it loaded, slowly. As Miranda was waiting for the page to finally load, she opened up her email on her phone and checked her unread mail for any response from Jack. After going through the spam emails that were sent to her while she was sleeping she noticed a reply. She smiled widely and opened the email.

Subject: Re: Please read before judging

Hello Miranda, I was very shocked to see your email to say the least, and to be truthful I did not believe you. As you may or maynot know, My name is Sean, not Jack and I do get frequent emails stating that they are my soul mate but I never reply. You are the first person who has attached an image as proof. Orange. Your hair is so orange. I would love to meet you face to face but I cannot afford any travel expenses at this moment. Maybe after Indy Popcon? Thank you so much for contacting me. I look forward to seeing my soulmate.

Miranda squealed in happiness and clicked reply.

Hello Sean, thanks for believing me and replying. I am actually going to Indy Popcon...would you mind if we meet up and have dinner someday during the convention, if you would rather be hanging out with your friends I completely understand. I'll be staying at a hotel nearby the convention so if you do want to meet up, I'll always be available and nearby. Thank you very much.

Miranda pressed send and locked her phone, she looked up and saw the video had finally loaded. She laid back, relaxed, and started the video. What a great beginning to a day.

8 days. 8 days until Indy Popcon. I cannot wait. 8 days until I meet the love of my life. Until I meet Sean...my Sean. Miranda checked off her days on her calender and made sure to check off calling in sick for work. A little white lie like that won't hurt. She smiled and started to put away some nicer clothes for the trip. Miranda made sure to call her parents and let them know of the the good news and her upcoming trip. Once all her typical errands were finished, she decided to go for a quick run around the block. After about half way around the block Miranda noticed a small cat towards the middle of the street. She looked across both sides of the street and called the small animal over to her.

"Here kitty kitty kitty. Come here meow meows." Miranda stepped cautiously out onto the street and walked slowly to the cat. As she stepped closer to the cat Miranda noticed a car was zooming up around the corner. She tried to get the cat but the closer Miranda got the farther the cat went into the street. She could not let this cat get ran over, she had to save it. Miranda finally ran out in front of the street and grabbed the cat in her arms and ran to the opposite side of the sidewalk. The car zoomed past, barely missing Miranda and the cat. As soon as the danger had passed, Miranda looked down to the small animal in her arms. It was a small black cat with a ring of white fur around its waist. The little cat looked up at her and softly meowed. The cat squirmed and moved to give her thumb small licks of gratitude. "Awe, you're so cute. Wanna come home with me baby?" Miranda smiled and took off her sweater to wrap it around the little animal. As she was making her way back to her small flat, she ran into a nearby pet store and grabbed some soft cat food, a collar, and a cat harness. Once she got home, Miranda allowed the cat to wander around her kitchen floor while she prepared the cat a small plate of soft food. Miranda slowly placed the plate of food on the floor, grabbed the baby cat and brought it over to the plate to eat. The cat ate eagerly and Miranda left the area temporarily to check her emails. She scrolled through them, looking for anything from Sean. After being a bit disappointed that there was not any response, she went back to the kitchen and saw that the cat had managed to get on top of the counter and knocked down the jar of straws she had up there. The cat had on in its mouth and was chewing on it. "Have you found a new toy baby?", she asked. The cat looked up at her, with the straw still in its mouth, and jumped down onto the floor. It dropped the straw and started batting it around. She awed and watched as the little animal had its fun. "What shall I name you", she asked the cat. "Maybe Austin? Nahhh. How about Tyrion? Oh! How about Smoke?" Miranda picked up the cat and brought it up to her face. "Do you like that name, Smoke? Yeah, I like it too." She smiled and brought the cat up to her room and played with it the rest of the day.
