Miranda felt her phone buzz as she walked through the front door of her apartment. She set down the groceries on the counter top and reached over to her phone. It was Sean. It just said two words. It arrived. She squealed with joy. Just a few days ago she had mailed him a late Valentines present, well, it was really more of presents. She might have gone a bit overboard but he was worth it. He was worth everything. She smiled and ran over to her laptop. She opened up Discord and saw he was waiting for her in their voice channel. She threw her headphones on and joined quickly.

"Babe...it's here. I'm so excited," Jack said through the screen.

"I know! I can't wait for you to open it and see the gifts. I really hope you like them."

"If they're from you I'm sure I'm going to love them," then after a pause he added, "just like how I love you." Miranda blushed at his words and brought her legs up to her chest in her chair.

"You're so adorable, but what would be more adorable is if you'd stop teasing me and just open your gifts already." She watched him laugh, and pick up the box and place it carefully on the desk in front of him. "OPEN IT! OPEN IT! OPEN IT," Miranda chanted excitedly! Jack giggled at her joy and pulled 3 carefully wrapped gifts out of the cardboard box. He shook the smaller box and shook it carefully, teasing Miranda's lack of patience. He watched her cross her arms and pout at his actions. He pulled apart the wrapping paper to reveal a small tungsten ring with an opal line down the middle. He stared at it in shock and marveled at the different colors that glistened. Pink, blue, green, red. All shining back at him.

"Mir, this is gorgeous! Thank you!" Jack slid the ring onto his finger and admired it on him. He looked up and just admired how happy Miranda was with herself. A stark difference from their last phone call. The whole situation shocked him, his fans had attacked this person he loved. He was so ashamed in himself as well, he created this community, made it in this image of positive mental attitude but when i mattered the most they showed this ugly side of hatred and disrespect. But seeing Miranda happy and smiling again reminded Sean why it hurt so much. You're both my family. I can't ever choose one over the other. That thought shocked him at first. It should be easy to choose your soulmate over anything else right? He furrowed his brow in confusion and looked at the ring again. This is right...right? This doesn't feel much different than last time...I feel...empty still. Sean closed his eyes and felt the tears running down his face. Miranda's voice started coming back to him.

"Jack are you okay? I didn't upset you did I? I thought it would be cool if we both had engagement rings! I'm sorry if I hurt you with this," Miranda said. Jack had to speak up soon or she'd start to ramble and spiral.

"No Mir, they're happy tears!" Jack lifted his lips into a smile and pushed away those dark thoughts. I can try and figure those out alone. Miranda doesn't need more on her plate right now. "I promise babe. It's very sweet of you to do this for me. I love it. I love you."

"Awww Jack. Thank you. I love you too!" Jack looked up to his monitor and saw Miranda happily squeezing the stuffed bear he won her when they met. I should feel something here. She's being cute. What do I do? "You still have 2 more presents though! Choose the next one!" Jack laughed and grabbed the next gift. It was a small cardboard box with a pink bow placed on top. He shook the box trying to figure out what was inside. "Stopppp. Just open it silly!" He lifted the lid and pulled out a small knitted plush. It was a pink heart about the size of his palm. "I made it for you. Squeeze it. It'll say something." Jack gently squished the heart in his hand and listened to the music playing.

When the loved ones, meet their fates
May its past lives fade away
Dream my lovely safe and sound
For who is lost, will be found
When the lover fades away
May their stories, and their image stay
And help create a better yesterday
For love is lost and will be found
Yes fear will steal those near
And in its path destruction flows
But believe that there are those who care
And in that thought the future grows
When the loved ones meet their fate
May their love never fade away
Dream my lovely safe and sound
For who is lost, will be found

"Miranda, that was gorgeous! How did you do that?" Sean's smile was more genuine now. She was so good at singing! He felt his chest fill with pride. This is right. All that before was fake. This is actually real.

"I had my coworker Julie help me! It's a lullaby my mom used to sing to me when I was having a hard time. But you're my family now, so I wanted to share this piece of me with you." In that exact moment, that small heart became the most important thing in the world to him.

"I love it. I will cherish it forever." Jack propped the heart up again his monitor and smiled. "This is really really amazing Mir. I didn't know you were so talented at singing." Miranda blushed and squeezed her stuffed teddy harder.

"Thanks Jack! It's just something I like to do for fun. Hidden talents type of thing. You do have one more present. Go on, open it!" Jack grabbed the last wrapped gift. It felt heavy, like a book or a notepad. He pulled the wrapping off and saw that it was a planner that she made for him. It had tabs for his daily video ideas and allowed him to keep track of his upload schedule and she had pre-filled in the release dates for upcoming games throughout the year. "Wait before you say anything, look at March 3rd," Miranda added excitedly! Jack flipped to March 3rd and read what was written on that date.

Miranda's Visit <3
March 3rd to March 9th

"You were able to get the days off?" Jack asked.

"YES! I had to beg my manager but he let me have them! I get to be with you again! I can't wait!" Miranda was practically jumping in her chair with excitement. Things will be okay. I know it will. We're going to be together again. Miranda suggested that they play some games together before it got too late. Sean agreed and they spent the last hours of the day happy spending time together.
