"Please buckle your seatbelts and turn off all electronic devices. We will be beginning our take off in a few minutes." Miranda looked down to her plane ticket and reread it once again. Miranda Aherne, leaving on a flight at 6 am from the United Kingdom and arriving in Illinois at 8 am. An 8 hour flight. She took a deep breath and sent one last text to Sean.

The plane's taking off...I should be there in a few hours. Wish me luck.

Miranda put her phone into airplane mode and plugged in her headphones for music. As the plane began to takeoff Miranda squeezed her eyes shut and gripped the seat tightly. She could feel her stomach tighten up in fear and tried to focus on the music playing to distract her.

Hey Helen

Your eyes shine and your beautiful

Well that's true, in every way

So I just had to come and sing to you

And Helen

Made me feel alive last night just to meet you

I'm meeting you tonight, I'm meeting my soul-mate tonight

So this is the best I can bring to you

Cos you sent me singing through the woods

Last night

You sent me singing through the woods

Feeling all right

You sent me singing through the woods

Last night

You sent me singing a happy singing boy because of you

Miranda felt a strong push on her leg and someone ripping off her headphones. Miranda, wide eyed and scared, grabbed her headphones and tried to put them back on. She could feel herself panicking and she had to calm herself down. Focus on the music Mir. Focus on something else.

Hey Helen

There's people all round this country not taking risks or being all we can be

Start yellin

That you want to step out of the door with me and really take the chance of being free and I will too yeah

Someone to make you remember those dreams you dreamed in December

I feel the life coming through ya and it made me want to pursue ya

I feel alive, I feel alive, I feel alive, I feel alive

I am alive, I exist, I am real

And it makes me want to hold to ya

When Miranda had calmed herself down she saw the stewardess looking down at her and trying to say something. She removed her headphones and listened to the women.

"-has been removed. If you still don't feel comfortable, we can try to move you up to first-class."

"Wait? What", Miranda asked.

"The man next to you, he has been moved to another seat. We're sorry for the inconvenience."

"Oh, thank you." Miranda softly smiled and returned to focusing on not focusing on the plane. Only 8 more hours Mir. You can do it.

Once the flight landed Miranda waited for everyone to get off before grabbing her overhead bag and turning off airplane mode on her phone. It was close to about 8 o'clock in the morning. Close to about 2 o'clock noon her time. Miranda went to the baggage pick-up line and quietly grabbed her bag and went to go call a taxi to her hotel. As she looked again on her phone, she got the typical message telling her about how her data rates has changed because she was in a different country and all that information. She sighed and accepted the new rates. She checked to see if there were any new messages. There were 2, one from Sean and one from her dad.

Have fun Mir. We love you.

Miranda smiled replied saying that she has landed safely and that she loves them too. She then opened Sean's message and read carefully.

Okay, be safe. I'm probably going to be busy all day today but if we both have time could we meet up for a drink?

Miranda smiled and happily replied with a yes and a have a great day. She payed the taxi driver and walked to the front desk. Miranda showed her ID and got the key to her room. The room was 1 bed, 1 bath. She set her suitcase on top of the desk in the corner and sighed. Welcome to America Mir. Let the fun begin.

After a long day at the convention, Miranda was tired and exhausted. The clock on her bedside table read 10:30. It had to be at least around 6 am UK time.

"Ugh", she groaned. She looked at her phone and saw no text from Sean so she decided to text him and ask him if he still wanted to meet up tonight. She set her phone beside her and laid down on the pillow of her bed. I'll just rest my eyes. I won't fall asleep, I'll wake up when he text back. Just a short nap. Miranda's phone beeped and she hazily checked the message.

I'd love to still meet up. That is if you aren't too tired. Jet lag sucks.

Miranda replied and asked where he wanted to meet up.

If you don't mind, can we meet up at my hotel room? It's a nearby Hampton. Room 221.

Miranda answered that she was on her was. She got out of bed and rubbed her eyes. After grabbing her phone purse, and room key, she headed down to the first floor of her hotel. It wasn't until he was about to go out of the front doors that she realized that she was staying at the NEARBY HAMPTON. She shook her head and went up to the second floor. Miranda followed the signs and knocked on the room with the number 221.

"Who is it?" At that very moment, the color red blended into her eyes and the colors blended together as she looked around the bleak hallway. "Hello? Who's there?" Miranda focused back on the door and answered softly.

"Miranda." She heard Sean quickly unlock the door. Miranda closed her eyes and waited. She heard the door open and open her own eyes. "Hello Sean."
