Adam couldn't sleep all night; he has been up all night thinking of what a jerk he was with Kara.
Adam couldn't believe he kissed her, she told him about August or Andrew or Austin or whatever her ex-boyfriend name was.
He's so mad at himself; he blew the opportunity he had with her, without even having a real opportunity. Adam had called her all night and has left a bunch of messages but she didn't answer.
He has been waiting to be sober so he could drive to her house so he can apologize to her. He will do anything he can do so she can listen to his apologize. Adam wants her to know that he isn't like that maybe he is a jerk sometimes but not a total asshole like last night.
He wants her to know that he was drunk and that he is sorry for kissing her but that if he'll have been sober he will have never done that because he cares about her.
Around eight in the morning he goes to Kara's house. He knows that she has a sister and he doesn't wants to wake her up or anyone else that is on her house so he climbs to a window and hopes for it to let to Kara's room.
When he gets up, he sees her sleeping. He admires how beautiful she looks when she is sleeping and he doesn't wants to wake her up, but he needs to apologize to her so he knocks on the window a few times and he sees that her eyes open and when her eyes met his she looks confuse but she still lets him in.
"What are you doing here?" she whispers confuse and sleepy.
"I needed to apologize to you." he explains.
"Are you drunk?" she asks getting angry.
He shakes his head and says "No. I waited all night to be sober so I can come here."
Kara is touch he stayed all night thinking about her, but she needs to act tough so she says as icily as she can say "Well, I'm listening." she crosses her arms below her chest and waits for him to answer.
He had a whole speech plan, but just seeing Kara made his mind got blank. He doesn't remember what he was going to say, so he went with the first think that went thru his mind "I'm sorry that I acted the way I acted last night."
She frowns and asks confuse "You came here to tell me just that?"
"Um... well... I know I acted like a complete asshole. You were right I was drunk and I'm sorry I kissed you. It was inappropriate, I wasn't thinking."
"When you're drunk you don't think well." she murmurs and he looks at the floor ashamed and says with a grimace "I know."
She wants to act tough, but she cannot be mad with him if he has that sad expression on his face. And seeing him with that expression on his eyes kills her.
She can see he is sorry and she cannot be mad at those wonderful and amazing green eyes. So she says "I forgive you, you were drunk and well... it doesn't matter."
"It matters because I was an asshole and I am sorry."
"I can see you are. Let's pretend it never happened."
"Thanks." he says with a smile relief and happy that she forgive him.
"I'm not going to let you go thru the window." she says teasing him and he smiles and says "I didn't want to wake anybody." explaining why he climbed-up the window.
"They are asleep, you're safe. Follow me."
He does, but he sees a photo of a boy and Kara on her night-stand table and he stops to look at it "Is this-?" he asks but she nods knowing what he was going to ask so she says "Yes, that's Austin."
"You seem happy on that photo."
"That was taken before we were boyfriends. We were best friends for a long time before we became boyfriends." Kara tries to pull-up her best smile.
"I can see you loved him a lot."
She wants to correct him and say 'love' but she knows that it will sound weird so she nods.
They walk downstairs and when they were at the door Adam turns his head and asks her "Will you be willing to come with me to the movies?"
She knows she has to say no, but she couldn't say no to that amazing smile of his and to those incredible eyes, so she nods.
"Perfect, I'll be here around four." he says smiling and exited.
"Use the door this time." she says teasing him and with smile and he laughs and nods and then she closes the door lays on it.
'I'm going on a date. I haven't been on a date with anyone that wasn't Austin for a long time' she's more nervous that she admits and she could drive her bike, but she is tired and sleepy too so she decides she will make coffee.
She tries not to make much noise because Jenna hates when anyone wakes her up and then she is all morning with a grumpy attitude that no one can tolerate.
She gets the coffee done and puts it on a cup and thinks in what she will do next.
It is too early to get ready, and she isn't hungry, which is weird because she always wants food. She doesn't want food when she is sad or nervous.
       She isn't sad.
'Might I be nervous?' she thinks. 'It will be natural to be nervous. I haven't been on date since a long time. Being nervous doesn't mean I like him, right?' Since she spoke with Adrianna last night she has doubts about her feeling toward Adam.
'Can I like him? He sure is attractive, but I don't know him well. I don't know his past' that thought reminds her he never explained to her what his history is and she will surely ask him about it today.
Knowing she will be with Adam on the movies alone, with no company makes her nervous. 'There will be other people at the cinema, but that's not the same... GOD, I'm over-thinking it. STOP OVER-THINKING THINGS' KARA. GOSH' she takes a long sip at her coffee and grunts loudly.
"Why are you awake right now? And what is bothering you?" Jenna says coming down the stairs.
"Did I wake you?" she asks worry and Jenna shakes her head and walks toward Kara and when she reaches were Kara is she says "No, the smell of the coffee did. Can I?" she points at her cup and Kara gives it to her "So tell me, what is wrong?"
"I'm having a date." Jenna spills the coffee on the cup and raises her eyes. She analyses the expression on Kara's face and sees she is not joking. So she sits next to her "And...?" she says waiting for Kara to explain.
"And I'm nervous because it has been a while since I had a date. I don't know why but I'm freaking nervous and I can only think about the date and nothing else."
"Who are you going out with?"
"Adam." Jenna's expression changed from curious to surprise "Huh."
"What?" Kara asks knowing that behind that 'huh' there is something more she isn't telling.
She was about to say something but she shakes her head changing her mind and says "Nothing... Do you like him?"
'Why is everyone thinking that?' Kara thinks frustrated and then says "Um, no."
"Then you don't have to be nervous."
She frowns and says unsure "I guess so."
"If you don't like him there is no reason in being nervous. But well if you do like Adam then it is a different story. But since you don't like him there isn't any worries right?" Jenna says using her 'Reverse Psychology trick' it is something she has learned and it isn't when you get a person to do what you want by pretending you don't want it.
Her trick is that when someone doesn't admits what they are thinking she reassures that person that what they are saying is correct but implies that there is a possibility that maybe they are wrong. It is something she has learned from Psychology the short time she was in college before she went out.
"Yes." she says, not being sure now if she likes him because if she doesn't like him then she wouldn't be nervous, 'so why am I nervous?'
"Then I'm going upstairs. Thanks for the coffee sis." she says turning around heading back upstairs, but Kara stops her and says "Wait. And what if I like him?"
Jenna puts a smile on her face knowing that her trick always worked. She walks toward Kara and says "If you DO like Adam, then you are on your right on getting nervous. And I will advise you as your big sister (a) don't tell Mike about it (b) eat something, because starving will not help (c) choose what you will wear and (d) get your thoughts straight."
She frowns at the last part and asks "Why do I need to get my thoughts straight?"
"Because sis, he might want to kiss you and you need to know if you want that too."
"And what if he already did?" she says in a low voice.
       "WHAT?" Jenna screams.
She raises her eyes surprise at her sister scream and murmurs "Gosh, shut up. You will wake up Mike."
"When and why didn't I know?" she says lowering her voice, trying not to be upset with her sister for not telling her.
"Yesterday at the party." she explains and Jenna asks "That's why you were so upset yesterday?"
She nods and says "Yes. He was drunk, and I had told him about Austin so... I don't know I felt like he didn't care I lost my boyfriend."
"So you don't want to kiss him?"
She shrugs "Well, I don't know. I didn't kiss him back because he was drunk."
"And what if he wasn't drunk, will you have kissed him back?"
"I don't have a clue. I mean he is handsome, and he has the most incredible smile and his eyes... oh gosh, his eyes... his wonderful green eyes are just perfect and... and... what was the question?"
Jenna raises her eyes and screams "OH MY GOD KARA!!!"
"Jenna shut up!!" she says murmuring.
"Girls what is going on?" they hear Mike's voice asking and they both yell simultaneously "Nothing."
Kara turns his head back to Jenna and whispers to her "What was with that scream?"
"You like him." she tells Kara grinning, but she shakes her head and asks "Why do you think that?"
"How don't you? You got lost in your thoughts when you were thinking about him."
"That means I like his aspect." she says trying to defend her case but Jenna shakes her head and rolls her eyes "Yeah right whatever." she says sarcastically.
Kara frowns and asks "What's that suppose to mean?"
Jenna puts her hand on Kara's shoulder and says in a tender voice "It's okay to like someone else Kara. You don't have to feel guilty." she kisses her on the head and then goes to her room and leaves Kara alone.
