I went over to Luca who was now propped up on a stump and i cleaned up his face.
"Why did you do that and be honest with me Luca." I said pouring alcohol on a paper towel.
"Because you're cute." He went to touch my face but I slapped it away.
"That's bullshit and you know it." I said placing the towel on his face and he flinched.
"How did you know i was lying?"
"You're eyes tell me everything but I want to hear the reason you did it from your mouth." I said concentrating on stitching up one of his cuts.
"I.....I... I said bad things to him and about him when he rejected me. He always forgave me And acted like nothing happened. I wanted him to show some sort of reaction but he never did. Then I came here and set up the TV and the internet and saw how he set everything up.
I got jealous and then I remembered the things I had said about him those years ago. I asked him if it was someone special or just a hang out and he said just a hang out. I saw his face light up and I knew better. I knew how to makeup for what I said about him.
I wanted him to be angry I wanted him to show emotion even if it killed me. I'm sorry for touching you and putting you in a bad place Zander." He said staring down in a daze. I slapped him and he looked at me shocked. "Wha-what was that for?" He said utterly confused
"You really are stupid Luca........ I'm not the one you should apologize to."
"Heh... you're right..... " Luca said and got up and walked into the woods the same way Hayden went. I went into the tent and cuddled with the kitten on the bed and eventually passed out.
HAYDEN'S POV.
I was beyond pissed, I almost killed my friend because I overreacted. My inner demon had taken over then something happened. Zander said he loved me and the demon just vanished.
I went walking into the woods and to the waterfall. I rolled my sweatpants up and stuck my feet in, I heard leaves crunching and beside me sat Luca.
"Hey.." he said nervous.
" Hey." I said curious as to why he was still talking to me after what just happened.
"Look we need to talk." I looked over at Luca interested in what he had to say. " that whole thing was a show." He looked away from me.
"What do you mean a show?" I said curious.
" remember when you rejected me and I got a bad attitude and said some really terrible things to your face and behind your back?"
"Yeah what about it?"
"You forgave me each time and never brought up the past. It pissed me off that you didn't do anything to hurt me back to get revenge or something like that. You showed no emotions what so ever and I couldn't take it." He looked down in shame. "When I came and set the stuff up for you and saw how much work you put into everything I knew it was for someone special. Your face was all lit up and I knew how to make everything feel better.
I have to admit I was surprised when I came over and saw you with a guy not a girl. Seeing the way you looked at him and spoke to him made me jealous so I put my plan into action faster than I had initially planned. I see why you love him now."
"What do you mean you see why I love him now?" I asked confused
"He's the only one I've seen who can quiet your demon and he's not afraid to speck up and slap someone if he has to. On the outside he looks frail and like he needs protection but he has the eyes and soul of a wolf."
"Well put and you're not the only one at fault...." I said looking down at my feet in the water.
"What do you mean?" He asked one eye brow raised.
"I overreacted and almost killed you. I could've just tackled you to the ground and punched you but I got a rock and almost bashed your skull in." I said looking down
" well in defence both of us have killed because of a powerful rage we have. I knew you could kill me but I didn't care because the guilt I was feeling from the things I've said and done was already killing me."
I stood up and so did he we bro hugged and walked back to the camping area. We didn't see Zander so we both looked in the tent. He was so cute I couldn't believe it. He was sprawled out on the bed with the cat laying right acrossed his neck like a neck pillow but under his chin.
"I-i I didn't think he could get Any more cuter." Luca said with puppy dog eyes.
"You'd be surprised..." I said laughing a bit.
We walked out of the tent and Luca and i made smores. Zander woke up eventually and came out to join us. It was a lot of fun. When Luca went home. Zander and I turned Netflix on and fell asleep watching Dexter which he seemed to love.
