ch. 16

ZANDER'S POV
I woke up to no one; not even the engle, so I went outside the tent and Hayden wasn't there. I started to panic, maybe he went to give her a bath and took her to the waterfall. I said walking in the direction of the waterfall they weren't there.
I started running past the campsite and to where Hayden had his car. It wasn't here either. I ran back to the campsite to look again he still wasn't there. I started screaming his name and still no sight of him. I went to the tent and looked around all of his clothes were gone, there was absolutely no trace of his existence.
I curled up in a ball on the bed and scream cried for awhile then all of a sudden Hayden was there hugging me and trying to calm me down as much as he could.
HAYDEN'S POV
I woke up to Zander flailing about next to me. He was short of breath I tried waking him up but nothing worked.
"Hayden where are you?!" He said getting more panicky.
I held him close to me. "I'm right here Zander, I'm right here." I would repeat it over and over. Then he started screaming and crying it was tearing me apart. He was having a nightmare and I couldn't comfort him because he was sleeping. He kept scream crying my name eventually he woke up.
"Hayden don't you ever leave me!" He screamed and buried his face into my chest.
"I won't love I promise." I whispered
"I was so scared." I could feel his tears soaking my shirt.
"I'm here love you don't have to worry." I said hushing his fear. Eventually he stopped crying and fell back to sleep and so did I.
