Taking the stairs one at a time, trying my hardest not to trip down the stairs. I have to be careful, I don't want my little girl living in my tummy to get hurt. The goddess knows she already means everything to me. It would crush me knowing I'm the reason she's in pain.
Reaching the last step, I breathe a side of relief when I'm on the ground floor. Following the sounds of giggles and the clinking of dishes, I round the corner to the kitchen.
A soft smile grace my lips at the actions before me. Leon, my husband and mate of 17 years is cooking, but keeps getting interrupted by Paige as she picking at the food he's cooking.
"Paige I'm trying to cook! Sit your hungry butt down!" Leon growls playfully.
Huffing, she does as told sitting down by her twin brother who is focused on his homework that he was supposed to do last night.
Then there are my other babies. Matty, who is 16, and is a carbon copy of me. He's really sweet, but has a temper when messed with. Kass, who is 14, who is exactly like Leon in every way right down to her looks and attitude. Then there's Legend and Laden, my other twins that are 5. They are always getting into something, their curiosity always getting them into trouble.
Now my next baby that is on the way is Emma. At the very end of my pregnancy, I'm ready for her to come out, so I can meet her, and hold her in my arms.
Leon and I have been very busy making babies.
My babies are my life, each and every one of them are a gift to have and have blessed me greatly.
Leon growls when the pepper shaker lid falls off, causing all the pepper to fall onto the eggs.
Holding in a laugh, I tread over to Leon, wrapping my arms around him. My bump pressed between us.
"Good morning, love." I whisper in his ear, then peck the spot behind his ear.
"My love, you're finally awake." He twist in my arms, forgetting the overly peppered eggs."Emma kept me up all night kicking and moving." I snuggle into his chest, but it's hard to actually do so with my bump.
Concern etched on my loves face. "Why didn't you wake me up, I would of stayed up with you?"
Pressing my face in his neck, I answer. "You looked tired from working, I didn't want to keep you up."
Leon tilts my chin up, connecting our eyes. "My love, I would of rubbed your bump to calm her."
I smile, before pressing my lips to his. It's amazing how even after all these years, there are still sparks and butterflies. These pasts two decades have been the best of my life, I got married to the love of my life, which was a beautiful wedding.
I still remember feeling anxious, but as I walked down the aisle and looked up at Leon in his handsome black suit, all that went away.
As we said our vows and I do's, it was a step to our amazing and wonderful life together.
As I become pregnant again and again, it never grew old to carry a baby, giving birth, holding my baby for the first time, and watching them grow.
Leon never got tired of me telling him I was pregnant, he loved having babies, and me being as he said 'round with my babies.'
Ewwing from my twin boys has Leon and I pulling away. Grinning, I peck his lips, then waddle over to my babies.
"Good morning, my babies!" I kiss each one of their foreheads, before sitting down.
Leon forgetting the eggs, sets everything else he made on the table. Hash browns, waffles, bacon, muffins, and a pitcher of apple juice.
Taking a seat beside me, Leon starts filling his plate with food, as does our kids. Paige, I swear has a black hole for a stomach for she eats more than 2 grown men put together. Payton eats between writing, Matty sticks his tongue out at Kass.
Kass, being my little spitfire, grabs his tongue and pulls. Knowing nothing can be done once those two get into it, we leave them be.
Legend and Laden, surprisingly sits quietly eating their food. Not even bothering with trying to figure out what's going on in their heads, I pile food on my plate and start to eat the heavenly food my mate prepared.
Conversation flows, the atmosphere light like every morning. When all the food is consumed, mostly by Paige. We all help clean up the dishes, but my wonderful husband and kids order me to go sit down.
Pouting, I do as ordered. When everything is put up, my teenagers kiss my cheek, then Paige, Payton, Matty, and Kass hop into Paige's blue Mini Cooper on their way to their high school.
Then Legend and Laden runs over to me kissing my cheeks. Taking them in my arms before they can get away, I kiss all over their faces.
Giggling cutely, they escape me, running to the family's black SUV after they grab their backpacks.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, love." Leon pecks my forehead, before taking our little ones to school.
The house phone rings, standing, I waddle over to the phone, picking it up, I press the send button, and hold it to my ear.
"Hello."
"Emmy! Darling, how are you?" I speak with Jade like every morning as Leon takes the twins to school.
The door opens, just as I end the call. A few seconds later, the arms of my husband sliver around my waist. putting his hands on my bump.
Emma moves to her father's touch. "Have I told you how much I love you?"
Leaning back against his chest. My right hand covers Leon's. Glancing down, I see the healed burns from all those years ago.
Leon pecks my healed burnt cheek. When the burns healed and the bandages removed, being insecure about then, I thought Leon and my first set of twins would be disgusted by them, but they surprised me when they didn't react to them negatively. Only asking questions on how I got them.
My other babies asked, but they never seemed bothered by them. Even when their friends came over, they showed me off, never asking me to hide, claiming me the best well daddy ever to their friends.
"I can't wait for our Emma to be born." The father of our kids excitedly speaks.
"Have I thanked you?" I randomly ask.
Confused, he ask. "Thank me for what?"
"For marking me as your mate, for waiting for me, marrying me, giving us kids, and loving me." I choke on my words.
Leon turns so he's in front of me, taking my cheeks in his hands, he connects our eyes. "You never have to thank me for anything. I'll give you the world, anything your heart desires because I love you more than anything. Nothing is never to good for you."
I could do nothing but kiss him with everything in me. This man is always too good to me. Be it with sweet words or his actions.
I'm more than lucky to have him for the rest of my life. It keeps getting better and better, as our family expands, so does our feelings.
I look forward to every minute spent with him and our family.
