This was the aisle at the bookstore where they first met.

Fiona

Gosh! Was he flirting with me? How on earth could this beautiful Adonis wasted his time staring at me as if memorizing my face? I was just an ordinary rugged girl with my grandma's glasses, as what Rain used to call them, which as if with a mind of its own started to slide again on my nose bridge. I did'nt notice he was only inches from me, him facing the stack of books and me leaning against it. He has a distinct smell which was going somewhere sugary with a touch of mint. I noticed black ink coming out of the sleeve of his white shirt. Tattoos! He got some tattoos. Jeremy has a small chinese symbol inked on his back just below the shoulder blade. He told me it meant Love. Now I wonder, what these tattoos of this beautiful stranger also meant. I wonder how it would feel to trace them with my fingers.

Collected my thoughts, put the book back on the stack, and waved at him, "see you around!", and smiled and started to leave.
Without hesitating, he got hold of my hand, " Wait, he said. Can I not even get your name?"he asked as I saw his eyes flicker with amusement, his dimples showing.

I was about to reply but I was cut-off when I suddenly heard Rain, as usual, yelling my name. "Fiona! There you are!", as she approched now with Brennan and a blond, pretty girl who was about her height, who was now rushing to the stranger who abruptly let go of my hand, and kissed him on the lips. " I told you guys she was not lost. She got stuck in her paradise." She was the only person I knew who will trade a spa and salon treat for a free book in a boring bookstore".

I did'nt hear what Rain has been saying that made Brennan, the blond and the stranger laughing. I did'nt know what I was feeling. My chest hurt like bitch that felt like I was hit by a bulldozer on a full speed. What was happening to me? Was I hurt because I saw the stranger kiss this damned blond?

"Fiona, this is my other best friend Casey, her fiancee Matthew and of course my gorgeous boyfriend Brennan," she recited all the names as Brennan gave me a bear hug as always, still treating me like a kid. "Hello there kiddo! Look at you! You have grown dude!", as he pinched both my cheeks which I really found annoying as I slapped his hands, but he managed to put his arm around my shoulder and kissed me on my head. I did'nt know if I was imagining it but when I caught Matthew's eyes he was glaring at Brennan's hand around my shoulders. " Hon, stop annoying her. She's not high school anymore". She playfully reprimanded her boyfriend. As Brennan ruffled my hair and let me go.

Fiancee. He has a fiancee for crying out loud. I was sort of feeling guilty but he made the first move. He was practically all over me, even grabbing my hand asking for my name. Asshole!

The blond or Casey said " Hello! Nice to finally meet you. Rain has been talking about you for ages. She was too excited of you coming and going at the same school as us." She smiled and I found her extremely pretty. She also has nice legs as she was wearing a short skirt. She was holding Matthew's hand and was leaning on his arm.

"Nice to meet you, too. Hell, yeah am too excited going to school with her in dresses and heels!", I exclaimed emphasizing every word, while Rain tickled my sides. She was the only one who knew my tickle points, except for Jeremy, of course.

" I'm sure all those freshmen guys will line up just to seat with you. Just wait 'til you see how I worked with my magic wand!" she proudly stated earning a gleeful laugh from Casey and Brennan. But, Matthew's face seemed glum. I glared at him secretly, as Rain motioned for us to proceed to the food court.

A fifth wheel, I sighed, and followed the group outside.
