Love at First Fansign

Chapter 4

"You're friends with SEVENTEEN?" Charlie asked with a sound of anger.
"How long has it been? Years? Months?" Charlie asked again, not giving Ashley a second to explain.
"I knew them since their first fansign," Ashley said while looking down on the ground.
"When you were told to go and fill in for me?! Ashley, I thought you didn't like SEVENTEEN!" Charlie said and the members were quite shocked.
"I told you the other day that I'm starting to like SEVENTEEN!" Ashley said and the members sighed in relief.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me. I thought we were friends! I told you everything!" Charlie said and crossed her arms.
"Everything?! I did tell you everything, in hopes of you keeping them to the grave. But what do I get? My table was filled with names and saying that I'm such a weakling and I cried a lot most nights when my parents were gone! I never told anyone your secrets because I knew that if I told anyone, you would get upset! 5 years ago, you told me a secret that you would never want anyone to know and up until now, I still kept it in! What about you?! You can't even hold the secret for even just one day!" Ashley shouted and Charlie was in shock.
"After 5 years, you're betraying me like this? Fine! Let's see how you handle the end of our friendship!" Charlie said and tossed her friendship bracelet on the ground.

The SEVENTEEN members were in quite a shock. They were speechless and even if they try to speak, they couldn't. Ashley walked back to the apartment building, only to crouch down and sob. Since none of the members had any experience in a crying girl, they had no idea what to do. S.Coups realized that it was his own fault that this happened. He fought with Jeonghan because of this matter and now Ashley and Charlie. He walked to Ashley and hugged her in an awkward crouching position. Ashley did nothing but sob on his shoulder. When she was done, S.Coups gave her a small smile.

"I'm sorry for all of this to happen. Because of me, I fought with Jeonghan and now you and your best friend. I shouldn't have asked for your number," S.Coups said and hung his head slightly low.
"It's not your fault, Seungcheol. You wanted to get to know me so I just let it be. I also didn't know that this would happen but I'm glad it did," Ashley said and the leader was confused.
"What do you mean you're glad? You lost your best friend," S.Coups said.
"She may be my best friend but she likes to embarrass me a lot. She told everyone about my secrets and I lost a lot of friends after that. No school club wanted me because they think I might bring them down," Ashley said.
"Um, hyung, we should get going. It's getting pretty late," Dino said, interrupting the conversation.
"Yeah, we should get back. We don't want to oversleep," S.Coups agreed and brought Ashley to her feet.

SEVENTEEN and Ashley went on the elevator and surprisingly, it did not beep saying that there are too many people.

When they arrived, all of the SEVENTEEN members went out except S.Coups.

"Why aren't you going? This is your apartment floor right?" Ashley asked.
"I should send you home first. Anything can happen in this apartment," S.Coups said and the elevator door closed.
"Thanks for comforting me just now. Now that my best friend is gone, I have no shoulder to lean on," Ashley said and S.Coups shook his head.
"You may have lost your best friend but we're still your friends," S.Coups said and gave her a pat on the shoulder and she smiled.
"You should show that smile of yours often. You look more lively like that," S.Coups said.
"Let's just hope your members can make me smile more often," Ashley said and laughed a bit.
"Is that a challenge? Soonyoung can make you smile, it will make your cheekbones hurt," S.Coups said and they have arrived.
"Goodbye, Seungcheol. Big day tomorrow. Get some rest," Ashley said and gave a wave to the leader. The leader gave a small heart with his fingers which was probably wasn't noticeable to her but she did see it.
"Did he just did a finger heart? For me?" Ashley said and blushed a bit.

Inside the elevator, his fingers were curling because of the cheesiness he just gave to her.

"I can't believe I just did that!" S.Coups said to himself and smiled ear to ear. His fingers were still curled so he had to use his knuckle to press the 3rd floor button. When he arrived, his fingers were already uncurled but he was still smiling.
