Chapter 10

"What are you doing here?" Ashley asked when she saw S.Coups at the door.

S.Coups went in and took Ashley by the hand. Her parents were quite surprised to see a man who looked a bit younger than Daniel barge into their home.

"Sir, Madamme. I am Choi Seungcheol, better known as S.Coups. I have come to report something about your son in law," S.Coups said and the father gestured him to do so.
"Your son in law has been abusing your daughter ever since day 1," S.Coups said and the mother was surprised.
"Father, he's lying. I could never hurt my precious Ayeon," Daniel said.
"Ayeon, is this true?" The mother asked and she kept quiet. She wanted to say it but she couldn't do so but if she doesn't say it, her parents might think S.Coups is lying.
"Do you have evidence, Mr. Seungcheol?" Daniel asked. S.Coups stayed quiet after hearing Daniel's sudden question.
"No but Ayeon is the key witness. She has experienced it herself. She has bruises all over her arms and her legs," S.Coups said and pointed at Ashley. Ashley kept quiet and tried to cover up the bruises. 

Ashley took S.Coups by the hand and the two went outside. 

"What are you doing here?" Ashley asked. 
"I came here to show your parents that you don't need that bastard. The person that will protect you is right in front of you!"
"I appreciate that you want to help but you doing this is gonna make him even more angry. Just let it go, Cheol. I'm fine," Ashley said. 
"How can I let it go? That bastard has been abusing and you want me to just let it go? I don't want you to get hurt anymore. You have bruises all over your body. Didn't your parents realize your tired and puffy eyes? You don't cry much but ever since you met that asshole, your eyes became like that! I'm just protecting you, Ayeon," S.Coups said and Daniel came out of the house. 

S.Coups made himself a human shield for Ashley. Daniel pushed him and he almost fell but he was fast on his feet. 

"Didn't I tell you to leave us alone? Are your ears clogged up?" Daniel asked in a very scary voice. 
"You better leave us alone! You're freaking hurt her! Aren't you a man?! If you're a man, you shouldn't be hurting women, especially your wife!" S.Coups said.
"She's my wife and I have every right to hit her or do whatever I want with her! Now, leave," Daniel said and went inside, locking the door in the process. 

S.Coups went back to the car and the members kept quiet. They didn't know what to say since they saw the whole thing unfold in front of them. Mingyu drove the members back to the dorm and the whole ride was silent.

"I am so sorry about just now, Mother. That guy was just being delusional," Daniel said and his phone rang. He talked on the phone for a few minutes. 
"I'm sorry, mother, father. I have to go since my company needs me. I'll have to bring Ayeon along with me," Daniel said and the two left the house. 

The ride home was a bit awkward. Ashley just looked straight ahead, avoiding eye contact with her husband. 

"How did that guy know where your parents lived? Did you tell him?" Daniel asked, his voice a bit angry. 
"Answer me, Ayeon," Daniel sternly said. 
"I... I... gave him my address... if he wanted to visit..." She said slowly. 
"When?"
"Before... I met you..." She said and he sighed.

The ride was silent and it took longer than expected. That was because Daniel drove in a very slow pace since there were no cars around.

When the two arrived at Ashley's apartment, Daniel went straight to the bedroom. Ashley wasn't really surprised that he had the tendency to do so but he came out of the bedroom with a carrier and a leather coat.
