Prologue Pt. 3

'What?'

'I said I don't believe you.' The scientist was staring straight at her. 'I heard that girl shouting. She isn't dead.'

'I - I killed her after she shouted...' He could hear the uncertainty in her voice.

'She had no stab wounds. There was no blood.' He is voice turned cold. 'You're lying.'

Her anger that had been bottled up inside her was let loose. The scientist could see she was angry, but he wasn't scared. She was only, what, 12? 11? She wouldn't be able to put a scratch on him. And he was sure that No. 16 wouldn't mind if he killed her, he did kill his wife.

Then suddenly, Asha's hair started to grow. It flew towards him and wrapped around his throat, strangling him. After a few minutes he was dead.

She turned and walked away, eyes closed. 'See? No stab wounds. No blood. No screaming. The perfect kill.' She then turned back towards him. 'No-one calls me a liar.'

She then turned away from his lifeless body. She looked over at Laika, and she was just watching in awe. She stared at Asha's hair as she changed it from it's greenish colour to blonde, and the lengthened it from it's usual shoulder length style, to a long, flowing style.

'Woah!' Laika cried. 'How did you do that?'

'Well, I had to disguise myself -'

'Not that! The way you killed that man! Can you teach me?'

'Wha - what? No! You are forbidden to kill until you are my age!'

Laika thought for a while before speaking. 'What age are you?'

'12.'

'Aw! 2 more years!'

Asha was then confused. 'Wait I thought you were nine! It would be 3!'

'Oh!' An embarrassed Laika exclaimed. 'Hehe, oops! I guess I made a mistake...'

'YEAH! IT'S NOT YOUR FIRST ONE EITHER!' Asha suddenly exclaimed. 'WHAT WAS THAT BACK THERE! WE ALMOST GOT CAUGHT!'

'Oops, another mistake...' Asha just glared down at her. Laika was terrified. 'Sorry, mom!'

'Wait, what! I'm not your mom! What makes you think that?'

'Well, you're old, and your telling me what to do..' Laika said innocently.

Asha's heart softened. 'Laika, I'm only telling you what to do because I want to protect you. Just call me Asha.'

'Umm, ok then Asha!'

They slowly walked towards the harbour to catch a boat to Dolle Harbour.

'BUT I'M NOT OLD, I'M ONLY 12 FOR GODS SAKES!'

'Ok, ok, I get the point!'

However, they didn't know that watching this from a distance was a Troupe member.

"Oh Asha, we will meet again, and I will finally be able to play with you... hehehe~"
