(Maddie is 12, Mackenzie and McKenzie are 10)
McKenzie stared out the plane window. She'd slipped past Maddie and Mackenzie and got there first.
When Melissa had told them they were going to LA, she thought they were driving there. But as soon as they got to the airport she realized they weren't. Miss Abby had been waiting for them there. She was sitting with Melissa two rows of seats in front of them. Maddie was asleep next to McKenzie and Mackenzie was asleep in the end seat. When they arrived at the recording studio Miss Abby went in first. "I'm Abby Lee," she said, hugging the man waiting to greet them. "Which one is Mackenzie?" He asked.
"I am," Mackenzie said, and she stepped forward to be hugged. Melissa shook hands with him and he also hugged Maddie and McKenzie.Mackenzie sat on a stool in the booth in front of a microphone. Maddie and McKenzie gave her a thumbs up. "Ready to start?" Mackenzie nodded and he started the music. "Wait!" She cried suddenly. He turned the music off. "Can McKenzie come in too?"
McKenzie was seated on a second stool next to Mackenzie. Then Miss Abby decided to take the stools away and left the girls standing. "Okay, Mackenzie, you sing the main part. McKenzie, where the lyrics are repeated you sing the repeated line and we'll put special effects on your voice to make it sound cool. And also in the bridge of the song, you sing the 'na na na na' part before Mackenzie sings the words. Okay?"
"Okay." McKenzie smiled and moved closer to the microphone. After the recording was done, Mackenzie and McKenzie were let out of the booth. "Well done girls, that was great!" Their mom hugged them.
"Well done!" Maddie hugged both of them as well. "Now, I'm taking you two on a plane back to Pittsburgh. Maddie and your mom are staying here, Maddie has something important to do."
Mackenzie and McKenzie hugged their mom and their sister goodbye, and they got into Abby's car."That was fun, wasn't it?" Mackenzie asked her sister happily.
"Yeah."
McKenzie smiled at her sister but felt sad inside, knowing this was the last time she'd see Mackenzie for a while. Mackenzie smiled back at her, not knowing anything at all.
