Police sirens echoed in the silence of the night as Christian pulled through the sidewalk near the bay area. He saw Alexis' mom standing next to a police, talking silently as she sobbed. The area was surrounded by police tape, preventing spectators from invading the crime scene.

"Mrs. James!" I shouted and tried to be heard despite the noise of the sirens. The lady heard her an motioned the police to let him inside the police line.

He walked briskly towards the lady and saw the tiredness in her face. He hugged her and she smiled at him gratefully, "They found her clothes here, Christian."

He looked at the bag the police handed him. Christian felt weak when he saw the clothes Alexis was wearing the last night they saw her, "Yes. These are her clothes."

"Mrs. James said that you saw the man she was with the last time she was seen," the police interrupted. "Can you come to the station and give out your statement?"

"Absolutely," he nodded. "I also have photos of them in my car."

"That's great then. We can use that photos as evidences," the police said as he gestured them to go out of the crime scene.

Mrs. James took Christian's arm as support. Her wife is not around because he is still on his way home from Singapore where he worked as a doctor. He is expected to arrive in three days. For now, she is getting her strength from Christian and Tasha.

"We'll find her." Christian promised Mrs. James.

"Oh I hope we find her soon," she said as she fought back the tears. "And alive.'

"Alexis is a strong girl. She knows how to take care of herself."

"Yes," the lady's grip on Christian's arm tightened in hope that they find her daughter soon.
