"You have to be ready," Blake said as he stroke Alexis' hair. She closed her eyes and cuddled closer to him. "I can't hide it any longer. They know that I am hiding something and they are too close to finding out what it is."

"How did you know that you are the real demon god?" Alexis asked.

"Our family knows but chose not to fight for it." He closed his eyes and leaned his head on the couch, "That is why my sister sent me to find you."

"What will happen of they find me?"

"The demon lord will take your powers by killing you or he will try to have a child with you."

Her grip on his hand tightened, "Powers? I don't have any."

"Yes, you do." He kissed her forehead, "it is just there within you, my princess."

"What will happen if he succeeds?"

"He will rule over the demon realm. Darkness will consume the world and life as we know it will be lost."

"I'm supposed to have a child," she wondered. "With you."

He leaned to her for a kiss which she gladly gave, "Yes. But I want us to fight our destiny. I want us to do everything to make sure that we do not became pawns in this cruel joke."

She nodded her head as he continued, "If we will have a child, I want it to happen because we wanted to. Not because we are a part of a goddamn prophecy."

"You said that I am the last living descendant, the vessel?" she queried. "I knew I was adopted but I never knew what happened to my biological parents."

"The vessel," she said softly. "I am nothing but a mere vessel."

"Don't say that." Blake stood up and faced her. "I wouldn't risk my life for you if I only saw you as a mere vessel."

She smiled at him. She never felt so safe in her entire life. She felt that she finally found her home.

"I am finally finding a reason to live, a reason to fight, and a reason to believe." Blake said without taking his eyes off her. "I love you, Alexis."

"But Blake," she doubted everything he said. "You are only feeling that because we are destined to be with each other. Our bodies are designed to long for each other. How can you say that you love me?"

"Demons are not capable of emotions," Blake said as he pulled Alexis near. Leaning to kiss her and locking her in his arms. "I was only supposed to be sexually attracted to you. But I am now fighting my body's need to get you naked."

Alexis' felt her cheeks turn red. He smiled when he saw her expression, "Because I love you, I am not gonna do that now. Loving you was never a part of the prophecy. We were only supposed to sleep together and you were supposed to have a child with me. That's it."

"I understand," Alexis said as she look away from him.

"But I love you and I want to be with you. That's why I saved you."
