Kate looks gorgeous as ever. Her golden blonde locks are draped over her shoulders and her body is perfectly framed by the white lace dress that hangs off of her shoulders. She has an admirable glow that adds to the beauty from her soft pink lipstick and her soft, neutral eye shadow.

"Sweetheart, you don't know how elated I am to see you! It's been ages! Also, I would like you to meet our new little friend joining us for the month!" Kate peeped, smiling from ear to ear as her gaze dropped from mine and focused on a small little boy with dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes. Kate is a foster mother who takes children into her home each month, only to see them scamper off with another family in 4 weeks time. It really is sad, at the end of every month I find a depressed, miserable Kate at my doorstep waiting for me to comfort her and tell her that she shouldn't keep getting too attached to these children. Honestly, one day I think she's just going to get so attached that she will end up with about 18 kids in her house. Her and Elliot are very sentimental about the fostering situation, since Grace and Carrick have adopted all of their children and Kate has always been very into volunteer work.

"Look who it is sweetie, it's Auntie Kate! Teddy's been missing you, Kate." I reply, too elated to even think about what Christian and Elliot are doing at the moment. I unbuckle Teddy from his car seat and haul him around my waist, making sure I am extra gentle with this precious cargo in my grasp.

"You look adorable, Ana Banana! Since when did pregnant women look this good?!" Kate remarks enthusiastically as she reaches over to tickle Teddy. I did think I look fairly fashionable today, since it was one of the only days I felt motivated to make myself look presentable. My light wash skinny jeans outlined my legs and my mid-sleeved crème shirt with a chunky diamond necklace added some elegance. My hair was tasseled in some loose waves and my shoes were some 3 inch light brown and white wedges Christian bought me when it was my first day back to work.

"Let's go inside baby, I'm sure Pheobs is practically begging for you to give her some food down there." Christian says with a sly smile on his face. He is seriously the best father to our children and he makes me wish we could have millions of little Christians running around our house. Back at Escala, Christian would have never allowed Teddy to have 2 rooms, considering we needed the space for the rest of our growing family, but ever since we moved into our dream house, Christian has been much more open to the idea of using up all the space we need.

After we finish our meal and say our goodbyes, Christian and I put Teddy down for a nap and have a little quickie on the living room floor. Not much to argue about when your hot husband is practically begging your for sex and you have the time to spare.

By the time it's three o'clock Christian and I are practically cramming into the car, we are so excited to see our little girl's new ultrasounds.

When we arrive at the doctors, we are greeted right away by a woman who looks to be in her mid 40's with dark brown hair and doughy brown eyes. Holy cow. I am beyond excited to see this human being growing inside of me.

"Hi, my name is Amanda and I will be taking care of you this afternoon. Please follow me." The woman says as Christian follows closely behind me.

"So by the look of your bump, I'm sure you have done this procedure before, so I'm going to have to ask you to get prepped for the ultrasound." Ms. Doughy Eyes says, as she gets out all of her special doctor things. I grasp a tight grip on Christians hand as she squirts the cold gel on my small, little bump. She runs her ultrasound device along the top of my stomach and repeatedly glances up at the monitor, showing the detections.

Suddenly, a look of paleness and nausea runs over her face as she stares blankly at the monitor.

"I don't hear a heartbeat." She stutters, and I feel as if my whole earth shatters.
