Movie day was a success, to say the least.

After hours on end of watching our favorite classics, we dozed off.

As I woke up, I hazily checked the time, checking to see the damage movie day had done to our productiveness. I glanced at the clock as it read 4:35.

"Holy shit!" I muttered to no one in particular, my eyes dropping down to a toned, tan arm belonging to Christian lazily draped over me.

I let my fingers dance over his skin, the slightest touch sending butterflies to my stomach.

His eyes fluttered open, and I received that breathtaking smile I did almost every morning.

"What time is it?" Christian asked, his voice raspy and his eyes fluttering closed every couple seconds, as if he was fighting to keep awake.

"Oh, just about 1:00 pm, not too bad," I lied. I wanted to cherish this time, doing nothing but spending time with each other, just us two.

Wait...

Before I knew it, I was frantically pacing around the room, wondering why I hadn't thought about this before.

"What's wrong, baby?" Christian asked, his brows furrowed and his face etched with concern.

"Where's Teddy?" I found myself almost screeching.

Before I knew it, Christian had hopped out of bed and closed the distance between us, draping his arms around my waists and pulling me in for a hug, tucking my head under his chin.

"I had Ms. Jones put him down for a nap, baby," A slow chuckle rumbled from his chest, as if it were absolutely ridiculous for me to not know that information.

"Oh," I breathed out a sigh of relief and slumped against his shoulders. "Thank god."

"We have dinner with my parents at six tonight, if you didn't remember." He replied.

"How could I forget?" I sarcastically replied, earning a sly grin from Christian.

Pulling away from his embrace, I told him I had to pick out my outfit and pranced out of the room into my beloved closet.

My eyes scanned my wardrobe collection, nothing particularly catching my eye.

"Anastasia," Was Christians low, silky voice as he called my name from the entry of my closet.

"Oh!" I practically jumped out of fright. "You scared me!"

"Sorry," he replied, holding up a hanger with a covering over it, preventing me from seeing what piece of clothing could possibly be hiding under there.

I slowly walked towards him, reaching out to grasp the surprise gift, before he immediately jerked it away and a look of amusement glimmered in his eyes.

"Can't give it to you yet," he replied, popping the t sound at the end of yet.

"Why not?" I said, attempting to pucker out my lips and pout.

He held out his hands, and gently cupped my check, planting a chaste kiss on my lips.

"You'll have to do something for me, my love" he replied, a look of mischief crossing his face.
