Dresses and Disasters

We ate the delicious food and when we finished, Randye dropped us off at the local mall. It was like 3 pm when we left the restaurant, so we decided to walk around. We walked around to several stores. It's really weird walking around in a shopping mall with guys. I felt like looking at dresses so we went to a bridal store that we had passed while we were walking around.

"Why a bridal store?" Dylan and Leo complained and went to sit down on a bench next to the fitting rooms. "She is just wanting to find the perfect dress for when we get married. Right, my dear?" Téo said while he was looking at bridesmaid dresses. "You're funny." I said sarcastically. There were so many pretty dresses that were on the clearance rack, so I started going through them. There was no way I was going to pay $200 dollars on a dress that I would wear only once. But then again...I did that with my Quinceañera dress. When I turned 15, my parents brought me a big beautiful pink dress and held a big party, to celebrate my coming of age. That's a once in a lifetime thing. If I was going to buy an expensive dress, it was going to be for an extremely formal event.

I took a few dresses from the clearance rack and some that weren't (the more expensive ones) and headed to the dressing room.

This is going to be so weird, but I am gonna try on the dresses and show them.

I put on a floor length, greenish dress with puffy shoulders and stepped out. Let me just say, this is the ugliest dress I have ever seen.

"So? What you think?" I asked, twirling around to show the the dress. Leo and Dylan looked up from their phones and doubled over laughing.

"You look...like you're an evil...stepmother from the...1800's!!" said Dylan with tears in his eyes.

"You look ridiculous!" said Leo.

Mateo came out from the racks of dresses and sat down with Leo and Dylan. "That dress is horrible! Change now" he said.

"Don't tell me what to do!" I walked back into the fitting room. I tried on various other dresses and showed the guys. They didn't like any of them. I was now down to the last dress. It was a blood red, floor length dress with small diamond rhinestones on the straps and a single diamond shaped rhinestone on bust of the dress. (I posted a pic of the dress)
I loved this dress so much but when I checked price tag, I nearly started crying. I stepped out finally and asked the boys what they thought.

They looked awestruck. I looked down, blushing. Three boys looking at you with their mouths wide open is kinda humiliating.

"That dress is gorgeous" Dylan spoke up finally. "You should buy it"

"I would but it's so expensive and I don't think that I'd have any formal events to wear it to." I explained sadly. "I'm gonna go change so we can go" I really wanted this dress. I went back to dressing room to change into my regular clothes. "Alright, I'm ready let's go"

We left the bridal store and we walked around for another hour. The guys bought some clothes for themselves. Lucky idiots. If I had money, I would have bought that dress. After that hour, we went to get ice cream. Leo bought me one, seeing that I didn't have any money.

"I'll pay you back tomorrow" I told him as he handed me a cone with cookies 'n creme ice cream. My favorite.

"Don't worry about it"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm sure."

"Alright thanks!" I said with a smile. I had to look up at him. That boy was tall. Téo and Dylan got theirs and we started heading for the side of the mall we entered.

"So what flavors did you guys get?" I asked them.

"I got strawberry" said Dylan, taking a lick of his ice cream soon after.

"What about you Leo and Téo?"

"I got cookies n' creme" Leo showed me his ice cream. "Ooh! Me too! We're twins!" I said showing him mine. He laughed. We turned to look at Téo, who was being suspiciously quiet. His face was completely covered with chocolate ice cream. I started laughing so hard that I almost dropped my ice cream.

I immediately stopped when I saw someone I thought I would never see again. I got so happy, I almost ran up to hug him. That is until I saw him with someone I wish I would never see again.
