Last Day Of School

Rosie's POV:

"Rosie! Despiertate! Wake Up!", My Mom Yells From Downstairs. I Look At The Clock. 6 am. Ugh, I Hate Waking Up For School. At Least Its The Last Day Of School Before Summer Break. I'm So Excited For Summer! Well, I Better Get Up and Get Ready. But Before I Do, Let Me Introduce And Describe Myself.

My Name Is Rosella Perez, But I Like Rosie Better. I Am 17 As Of December 3rd. I Live In North Carolina. I Have Medium Length Dark Brown Hair And Brown Eyes. I Am 5'4" In Height. I Speak Fluent Spanish and English. I Have Two Sisters And A Baby Brother And Of Course, My Mom And Dad. I Get Distracted Very easily! I Like to have fun! I Also Am An Actress. I Love To Act! I Go To Lots Of Auditions And Have Been In lots Of Productions. Well, Enough About Me, Back To The Story.

"Wake Up!", My Mom Yells Again.

"I'm Up!", I Yell Back. I Get Up And Start To Look For Some Cute Clothes In My Closet. I Don't Have Many Outfits, Since Most Of My Stuff Is in Boxes. Yup, You Heard Right, Boxes. We're Moving To California So I Can Get More Acting Jobs And Auditions. Also, So We Can Be Closer To Our Family. I Found Something Cute And Jumped In The Shower. Fifteen Minutes Later, I Was Out Of The Shower. I Went Back To My Room To Change. I Blow Dried My Hair And Decided To Straighten It. I Looked At The Clock. 7 am. Wow, An Hour. I Put On Some Cute Flats And I Walked Out The Door.

Downstairs, I Found Everyone Eating Breakfast. My Mom Made Pancakes, Yes! "Good Morning, Rosie!", My Dad Said. "Good Morning, Daddy", I Replyed Back. "Are You Ready For Your Last Day Of School?", He Asked. "Yeah", I Said While Sitting Down In One Of The Chairs. I Took A Plate And Put 3 Pancakes On It. I Reached For The Syrup But My Littlest Sister Grabbed It And Poured Lots Of Syrup On Her Pancakes. I Finally Got The Syrup and Poured The Sticky Sweetness On My Pancakes. I Finished Eating And Wished My Family An Awesome Day While Grabbing My Necessary Things For School.

It Was 7:45 And As I Walked Out The Door, I Was Greeted By A Warm, Summer Breeze. I Waited At My Bus Stop With All The Other Kids On My Street. The School Bus Arrived And I Got To School. I Couldn't Wait To Go To California Tonight! I Leave At 9 p.m. And I Get There At Midnight. Anyway, I Went To My First Class. Biology. Ugh, I'm Glad Today Is The Last Day. I Can't Stand This Class.

"I'm So Excited!", I Say To My Baby Brother, Who I'm Holding, As We Make Our Way Through Security Check. He Just Looks At Me. I Just Laugh. "Shoes Off!", The Security Officer Says. I Give My Mom My Little Brother Because Everyone Else Went Through The Metal Detector. I Take Off My Flats And Go Through The Metal Detector. I Put My Shoes Back On And Grab Some Of The Carry-On Baggage. My Dad Checks The Airplane Tickets And Gasps, "Hurry Up! We're Late!" We Practically Run To Our Assigned Gate And We Give The Flight Attendant Our Passes. She Lets Us Through And We Find Our Seats Quickly. We Sit Down After Putting Our Carry-Ons In The Plane Cabinets. As We Sat Down, We Heard The Pilot Make An Anouncement On The P.A., "Good Evening Passengers, This Is The Pilot Speaking" I Zone Out For Most Of It But I Heard Him Say Something About Arriving In California In Four Hours. Four Hours. Well, Its Time To Plug in My Earphones. I Pop A Piece Of Gum In my Mouth As The Engine Of The Plane Roars. Take Off. Is this Really Happening?! I Think To Myself. I Look Over At The Rest Of My Family And See them Settling In their Seats. I Decided To take A Nap. After All, Its Gonna Be A Long Ride.
