Meeting at the Mall

"What's wrong?" Leo noticed that I got really serious. Everyone looked genuinely concerned.

"Nothing, can you guys take me home now? Please?" I asked quietly, turning back to the group with my head held low.

"Alright, let's go guys. I'll call my mom to pick us up." Leo took out his phone, but instead of calling her, he texted her.

"She's on her way, let's walk to the mall entrance" he said as he put his phone away.

I turned back to see the guy I had a crush on with my ex-best friend a.k.a backstabber. I wondered what they were doing in L.A.

I turned back and started walking with the boys as quickly as I could, when I heard a voice I was dreading to hear.

"Rosella? Eres tu? Is that you?" Said Renato. The guy I like. I never told him that I liked him because I had move to L.A. So there was no point in telling him. Things went bad when I found out he was dating my best friend who quickly turned into my  backstabbing ex-best friend, Grecia. She knew I liked him and still proceeded to go out with him. I know it was a stupid thing to be angry about but I liked him a lot.

I stopped in my tracks. The guys stopped too when they heard my name being called. I put on a fake smile and turned around. I had to be nice and not make myself look bad in front of the guys. I don't want them to judge me badly, we just met today. Renato and Grecia were walking up to me and the guys.

"Hey! What are you doing here in L.A.?", Renato asked. Grecia was looking at Leo, Téo and Dylan and then back at me. Quietly judging.

"I actually live here now. I thought you knew" I replied. "I've been here for a few days. What are you two doing here?"

"We're here visiting mi tía, my aunt and I needed to pick up some things to go back to NC in a few days" Grecia explained as she watched Leo.

"Who are these guys?" Renato looked from me to the guys.

"These are my friends and co-workers"

"I'm Leo" he said as he extended his hand to Renato, who took it, then to Grecia. Respectable guy, Leo.

"I'm Matéo and this is Dylan" Téo and Dylan shook hands with Renato and Grecia.

"I'm Grecia and this is my boyfriend, Renato. It's nice to meet Rosie's new friends."

I cringed at the phrase "my boyfriend, Renato" I think Leo noticed because he grabbed and squeezed my hand. Another spark. Weird.

"So since we're in town a few more days we should hang out. What about Monday at about this time?" Renato asked.

"You know I'd love too but we have to work and we don't know what time we'll get out" I said, hoping he'll stop talking so we can leave.

"Actually, we get out at the same time as today, 1:45 pm!" I felt Leo and Dylan stiffen. I have never felt like slapping anyone so hard in my entire life. I turned to Téo, and smiled menacingly. Leo reached behind me and smacked him in the back of the head.

"Well then it's settled, we can meet at the '50s diner I saw a few blocks down Monday at 2 pm!" Said Grecia enthusiastically.

"Great. See you there!" I said with a fake smile plastered on my face.

"We've got to go now. Bye" I turned to walk away and I heard the boys say theirs goodbyes.

We walked to the mall entrance quietly and out to the parking lot to Mrs. Howard's, I mean Randye's car. She dropped off Matéo and Dylan first because I was the last stop. When we got to my house, I thanked Randye and Leo for the drive and good time.

I went inside and greeted my family. It was about 7:00 pm. They were about to eat and I was hungry too so I sat down with them at the table. I told them about my day, even about seeing Renato and Grecia at the mall. They were surprised to know that they were here and wanted to invite them over but then decided not to when I told them that they were leaving soon.

When we finished, I went to take a shower and then headed to bed. I had a long day, it was time to rest. I was excited for work Monday but not for what comes after. At least I had the weekend to not think about this "date". After my shower, I checked my phone. I got three messages.

Leo😄😁😉: Goodnight! 🌙🌚See you tomorrow! Oh! I grabbed your phone, put in my number and got yours while we were at the restaurant! Goodnight and Sweet Dreams!😴😪😁😁

Téo😍😘😙: Good nite, chica! Hope your dreams are full of me, because you'll be in mine!😘😘😘

Looks like Matéo did the same thing as Leo. I shook my head laughing at the message and the emojis he put by his name. I looked at the last message, it was from Dylan.

Dyl😎: Good night, love! Have pleasant dreams. It was nice meeting you today and I'll see you Monday. Sweet dreams!

I locked my phone and put it on the stand. I'm happy I met these guys. I believe we're gonna be friends for a long time. When I was tucked in, I turned off the light and fell asleep.

I just want to thank brendashian, tiger559, @septicuser, and @hottiesonteenwolf for motivating me and giving me the confidence to start writing again. I stopped writing because I felt like nobody was reading it and to know that people have, even if it's a few people, really makes me feel good. So thank you so much! I deeply appreciate the support!

I reread this one and made a few changes so it wouldn't confuse anyone or myself with the dates. I realized I made her first day of work a Friday so I changed their lunch date to Monday. So they get the weekends off work. Love the continuing support! Thanks!
