"Why are you guys here?!""Like, why are you, like...ignoring like, us?!",spat Sarah with her cool girl talk. Ben's eyes were on my wet damp sleeve...he suspects something...what do I do?! "You know, Evie...why did blood appear on my hand and why did you wash your sleeve back there?". How does he know? "YOU PERV! STOP LOOKING AT GIRLS IN THE BATHROOM!", I screeched. Ben's face turned red but that didn't stop his eyes from leaving my sleeve...
Argh! Stop it, Ben!
"Like, answer me!", groaned Sarah. I looked at them, "I cut myself while cooking!", I bluntly lied to them. Sarah bought it, "K. Explains the blood on Ben's hand.". But... Ben looked at me with suspicious eyes like he knew what I actually did to my arm...
"Open up your sleeve.", he randomly asked. My eyes opened wide, "N-No! You can't look at my horrible cut, Ben!", I shouted at Ben. "Ha, right...",Ben sighed, and then he grabbed hold of my sleeve and pulled it down...
Oh no... they saw it...
"You...cut yourself...?", Ben asked...but his voice changed from...evil to...worried. I glared at him, "Yeah, you got a problem with that, Benjamin?!", I spat. Ben hugged me tight, "Yes, I do have a problem with that! You can't cut yourself! You'll bleed and...die!", when he said the word 'die', his voice cracked as if he never wanted to say such a thing. Sarah looked at me, "Gurl. Why are you cutting yourself?! Are you... depressed?!", I glanced at Sarah...
"No", I bluntly lied again.
Ben hugged me tighter, "You're sleeping over my place tonight. We need to talk about this kind of stuff!", said Ben with sad eyes. I looked at Sarah as she whined, "Can I come too?! I wanna help her as much as you do! My big sister went through that so I know what it feels like to be with people who are depressed!".
"Fine. . .if that makes you happy, Sarah.", and there I stood...in Ben's arms...crying. . .with more blood dripping from my scars...
They cared for me...Ben and Sarah cared for me...
Why is the world doing this?
