Mason's POV:
Georgia was so annoying. All she did was whine! It was always "Why won't you talk to me?" and "I'm way better than her!". But she wasn't better than Cassie, and she never would be.
Georgia's ex, Levi Skyes, and I are close friends. He was nearly begging me to get her away from him; not that I blame him. I finally agreed a few days before Cassie decided to talk to me, and only a few people knew of their breakup anyways. Apparently, I was the rebound. It didn't matter to me; Georgia put out.
After Cassie told me about her brother, I didn't know what to do. I felt sorry for her, because of what she had to go through, but also extremely glad that she trusted me enought to open up to me. I felt more closer to her then ever.
So why I showed up at Georgia Blackston's house at nearly two in the morning was a mystery, even to me.
I hadn't expected it to go as far as it did, either. But it did, and I was going to tell Cassie what happened; I just couldn't find the right time, or place. And then I ruined it all when she stumbled across Georgia and I in the janitor's closet.
But I never, ever expected her to show up at my club, with some guy. He wasn't even in our pack. And then how the were all over eachother in the corner....
Just thinking about it had me shaking with rage. I knew I had to make things right between me and Cassie, and I only had a month. I needed to get rid of that random she was with first, though.
"What's wrong baby?" Georgia's nasally voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked down at her bleach blonde, hair extension-adorned head. She was sitting on my lap, and, much to my dismay, making herself quite comfortable.
I stood quickly, sending her tumbling off my lap in the process. She glowered at me from the floor, then quickly stood and straightened her nearly non-exsistant dress.
Narrowing her eyes, that annoying nasally voice rang out again. "This is about her again, isn't it? Ugh! Babe, you need to get over that slut, I'm-"
"Don't you ever call Cassie a slut again," I interrupted, deadly calm. "She has more beauty, smarts, talent, and self repesct than you can ever hope to have." I paused and she opened her mouth to speak, but I resumed quickly. "By the way, I know why Levi wanted you gone. I have never met a more self centered, annoying, and selfish person in my entire life," I snarled.
Her and her "possey" gasped in unision as I turned my back and stalked out of the club. I stepped out into the cool night and relaxed slightly, but was still pretty wound up. I glanced at my car, and decided to walk home. It would be there in the morning.
"Hey!" A deep voice called out, and I turned to see a well built man, of about 40, walking quickly towards me. He was shirtless, which was odd, but I was quickly distracted by a large scar running the length of his ribcage and dissapearing under the waist of his jeans. He had short black hair which was streaked through with charcoal grey. There was another scar on his face, and it cut across his upper lip, making it appear to be split in half.
"What?" I aswered coldly. I don't generally like strangers approaching me in the middle of the night. He was in front of me suddenly, but I didn't flinch. I already knew he was a wolf. He sniffed me once then stepped back.
"Do you know where Cassandra Tasman lives?" he asked, staring intently at me.
I nodded. Why need he want to know? She probably wasn't there anyway, most likely off sucking face with that guy.
"Are you looking for her?"
Why not? It couldn't hurt, and I actually did need to find her. "Yes, I am."
He nodded, looking me up and down a couple times before smiling. It was a cold smile, and it didn't reach his eyes, which were glinting maliciously.
"I think I might be able to help you with that," he said.
