Chapter 2  ****MATUARE CONTENT HALFWAY***** ( You'll see these *** and that'll indicate where it starts and ends.)

I opened my eyes as I felt the car come to a stop. I looked out the window to see we were parked in my driveway. The size of my house looked like a small mansion.

I lived outside the suburbs of Denver, Colorado. My father and mother, who live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, bought the house for me when I moved out here. I told my father that I could afford a house, but he demanded he would buy a house for me.

He sure could afford the house with his income.

Vincenzo shut off the ignition and pulled my keys out. My hands stopped finally stopped trembling, I unbuckled my seat belt and grabbed my purse from the ground before looking at Vincenzo. He was gripping the car handle in his hand, careful to avoid hitting his arm.

He was clutching my car keys in his right hand. I looked into his eyes and I knew that he need to get medical help fast. I looked from his eyes to the towel wrapped around his arm.

I gasped and leaned over the center console, grabbing his left injured arm by his hand. His head shot around and hissed. "I need this stitched up fast, Cara." He ripped his hand out of mine before throwing the car door open and getting out.

I quickly followed suit and he followed me up the walkway to the front door.  I opened my purse and duh through until I found the keys.

I could feel his heat at my back, making my body tingle with warmth. His warm breath was blowing on the exposed part of my neck.

I ignored this and pushed open the door, walking through it the corridor. I threw my keys and purse on the little end table that was next to the door.

Vincenzo brushed my shoulder as he bypassed me, walking through the hallway that led to my living room.

Having him in my house was freaking me out. I mean he literally beat the shit out of two grown men and basically kidnapped me.

But for some strange reason, I knew that he was trustworthy. Only a little.

I owed him that much, seeing as I could have been smashed by the two men.

My heels clapped the hardwood floors loudly as I quickly made my way to the bathroom, where my  extra nursing kit was.

I walked through the door and walked to the counter underneath the porcelain sink. I bent my knees and pulled out the kit and opening it.

Once I made sure I had all the necessary items, I quickly walked to the living room where I knew Vincenzo was.

He was sitting on my L-shaped couch, with his arm bent securely on his chest. The blood soaked towel now on my coffee table. Any other time I would have flipped out at seeing that laying on my coffee table, but I put that in the back of my mind.

I carefully avoided touching his bent knees and sat beside him throwing my kit on the table. I sat on my knees and was somewhat leaning over him.

I reached for his arm and examined it, trying to decide what would be the best way to stitch it up. " I don't have any way to numb the pain, so you're going to have to deal with the pain. I'm sorry." I winced.

His eyes boring into mine. His mouth pulled into a frown as he nodded his head. I nodded mine back before tearing my eyes away from his and grabbing the needle and thread.

Oh god. Please don't let me mess up.

I've only ever done this twice. The first being my cousin and the second being my dad.
