Chapter 4
His eyes stayed on my bump until my hands blocked his view. I really didn't like the fact that his stare was intensely on my stomach.
His eyes finally snapped towards my narrowed ones. I looked him over, wishing that he changed and became ugly.
However, that was not the case here. I took in his black hair that was somewhat shorter then the last time I saw it. His complexion was still a light brown, tan color, but paled slightly. I ran my eyes down the length of his body. His godly body.
I snickered at the thought of his body. I shouldn't even be thinking about how his body was when I was pissed off.
I heard the man next him clear his throat, making me snap my eyes towards him. My snickered died and was replaced with a blank stare. I could tell that he resembled Vincenzo very clearly. He had the same jaw structure, same eyes, and same complexion. He had Vincenzo's black hair, but with a few strands of gray hair filling out on the sides.
God, they both had good genes I cursed in my head.
His expression was one of gentleness and kindness. That didn't match his built.
He smiled at me and put his rather large hand out for me to take. I gulped at his hand before stepping forward slightly and taking it in my own smaller hand.
"Hello, Arianna. Your father told me how beautiful you were, but words did not do the justice" he let go of my hand and placed it back at his side.
I would have been totally freaked out that a 50 something year old man said that, but his smile was gentle and harmless, so I just smiled and nodded my head as a thanks.
"It's nice to meet you too." I said curtly. I could feel his stare burning holes in the side of my head, but I completely ignored his presence.
I turned my body and walked back to the couch my father was sitting in and plopped myself down beside him. I probably was interrupting something, but I needed to relax and rest my feet. I don't care what anyone has to say.
"How far along are you, poco gallone? I sighed and frowned. What did that mean? Instead of thinking about it, I redirected my gaze to Vincenzo who was stiff and looked like someone killed his favorite pet.
I talked to Sandro, but looked at Vincenzo as I said, "I am about four months, almost five." I patted my small baby bump looking at Vin's expression. I so badly wwanted to get up and beat the living daily lights out of him, but in y condition I couldn't.
If Vincenzo could have gotten stiffer, he would have been stuck like that. I watched as the wheels turned in his head as recognition rooted through his mind. He paled even more and I watched as he throat bobbed up and down as he gulped.
Now he knows.
"Well I wish you the best with your pregnancy. Is the father around to help you?" Now it was my turn to stiffen. I didn't want him to know that this baby was his grandchild. Did I want Vincenzo to tell anyone? Did I even want him to be apart of the baby's life? All these thoughts were starting to make my head hurt.
I cleared my throat and sat up starighter preparing myself for what exactly to say, so I just went wiht the flow. "No, unfourtnetly the father is not involved. He bailed on me." I purposely ignored Vinn's stare as I spoke to his father. I heard him clear his throat, making our gazes meet.
"Maybe, the father had no idea that you were pregnant." He said disgruntled. Good it serves him right for leaving me. Bastard.
"Maybe, he should have stayed in contact with me, instead of leaving me." I shot right back. My hands left my stomach and tightened at the sides. He didn't respond back, only narrowed his eyes at me. His mouth had a small frown framing his face.
