Chapter #5 "He knows places"

Spring has sprung in New York and Jersey, which means I'm on Spring Break; not really I wish though. It seems like the school year will never end sometimes. Luckily for me, I decided to do what my brother did and take the week off whenever it's Spring Break for Elsa; whose back in Miami with my family. I text her every now and again to see if Bri is driving her bananas yet, or the other way around.

Anyways, since it's Elsa's Spring Break then that means it's mine too. so I get up at 7:00 am in the morning and just write my heart out all day. I haven't written any of my own material since Nick and I came close together that day I was sick which was about a year ago now. My Wattpad account is filled with worried questions of when I'm going to update my stories; specifically my "Missing In Jonas Action" story and my Letters to Joe (No wait Nick) one-shot book. The hardest thing is when you're trying to have a life off of the electronics to write as much as you can. Then you just draw blanks and you're back to square one, which is playing games on my iPad. Which isn't really a bad thing but it is once you do try to write and you just spend your days playing games.

There's a knock on my door. Here I am thinking that one of the girls forgot something since they went to go hang out with Joe and Harry. But when I open the door I see little Miss Valentina Angelina Jonas; Kevin and Dani's daughter trying to get me to go out of my room by grabbing my hand and leading me somewhere. But I don't really know where. Then I hear that familiar voice saying "I'll take care of her Kevin, I have taken care of her before" as I imagine an eye roll to this mysterious voices brother. Then as he sees me with her Nick then says "Gotta go, Kev, Aby's here." I smile as he pulls me in close and kisses my lips. "Hello Beautiful," he says with a silly grin on his face. I laugh lightly, first his niece now an old Jonas Brothers song as a pickup line. Really romantic Nick, note the sarcasm. "Hello handsome," I say while smiling and blushing a little as I kiss his lips.

"Bye, Bye?" Valentina asks or was she saying it now I'm not sure at the moment. "We'll go bye bye now," Nick says as he puts her in her stroller. "Yay!" She squeals. She's so cute. God bless her little soul. "So Mr. Nick is there any reason why you brought your niece to drag me out of my dorm room and have her walk me over here?" I asked him suspiciously with an eyebrow raise.

"Yup, because you and I and Ms. Valentina are going to be a family for a day. You always did say you wanted to have children one day but are too scared of being too rough on them. Well, today's the day to practice" he says with a toothy smile. I blushed. I have the most amazing boyfriend ever. Oh and yes we have made it official but we haven't actually told anyone yet, just Kevin and Joe. No one knows from my side of the family. But how am I supposed to tell them? They think I'm focusing on my studies of becoming a writer and I attend to keep it that way.

I then go back to my room, grab my crutches and sigh. I know this will be a day of a lot of walking for me. As I come back, I smile and say "Ready." Nick then smiles and says to Alena "Ready Angel." She then makes monkey noises. I guess a sign that she wants to go see monkeys first. Oh no, it suddenly just hit me where we're going. "Nick, honey are we headed to the zoo?" I ask him nervously.

He nods and then asks "Why is that an issue?" I am suddenly very nervous. I don't do good with big crowds because I'm always stepping or hitting someone by accident. I just don't like being in the heat too long. I can't actually but this is for Valentina and part of being a parent or practicing to be one is making sacrifices for your kids right? "Um, no not at all," I say nervously and he notices that I'm about to burst into tears. He pulls me into a hug and says "It's okay Abs, we can do something else if you want" as he kisses my head. "No, she's your niece, not mine, I'll do it" as I put on a brave face for Valentina She is waiting impatiently for us to go, as she says "Geek, bye bye?" I had to laugh out loud when she called him that. The cutie doesn't know how to say Nick yet, which is adorable if I do say so myself.

"We're going now, Angel I promise," he says as he starts moving the stroller with me following closely behind him. The car drive on the way to the zoo was okay. I don't know why but ever since I was little, I would always fall asleep in vehicles; specifically my mom's minivan.

I then feel somebody shake me awake. I see Nate and hear him say "Come on my princess we're here now." I smile and yawn. Boy, he really does know how to make me feel special. As I jump off the car, he passes me my crutches and we just walk in. Valentina is so damn cute just staring at everything in amazement. The 3-year-old has not a care in the world. I only wish that I had a daughter like her. She's pretty damn terrific. Nick had to go check his sugar a few times as we stopped to get something to eat. Valentina got bananas and Nick and I both got hot dogs. Peeling her banana, Nick smiles at her as he asks her "Valentina, who's mommy's monkey?" The 3-year-old jumps in her stroller and says "Me mommy monkey." I had to laugh at how cute she was being. I then laughed harder when he asked her who was her daddy's and his monkey. She said Joe was, well she kept say Oe but it was close enough. She was such a doll already making fun of her uncle, it was so cute.

After what seemed like forever because of my slow eating and Nate having to check his sugar once more, we went to my favorite animals. The Koala Bear is my favorite, Nick's more of a tiger person. So as a nickname, just like AJ I called him Tiger. Sometimes I called him Nickybear but he hates being called Nicky because it makes him uncomfortable, but I only call him that when I want something. So I try to be adorable with my ways if you know what I mean? He only catches on when he wants to but after that, he just smiles and asks me what I want. Usually, it's when I want to cuddle or have him pick me up and put me on his lap. I have such a good time sitting on my "throne" as he calls it.

"You're a very lucky princess, Olivia never got to do this with me," he says with a toothy grin. I smiled a little as I kiss him passionately as Valentina covered her eyes. Yes, we're still watching the princess. "Angel, you can open your eyes now Princess," he says as I pout because of him calling her princess, but I do it only playing around. "Nickybear" I call him being cutesy as I see him roll his eyes clearly annoyed by me calling him that. He says "She's my niece Abs, calm down," he says with a kiss on my head. I smile trying to not get too clingy or jealous like how I do with my friends. They would know I'm just worried most of the time. We finished our meals and headed back to the zoo animals. Now we were going to see the giraffes. It reminds me of the time I actually fed one once its tongue was purple; which just so happened to be my favorite color. I grabbed a leaf and handed it to Valentina as I told her to feed it to the tall animal. When the animal came down to get the green she then started crying. Nick calmed her down singing to her. As usual, his voice calms almost every living thing down, well other than plants.

After the giraffes, which Valentina clearly didn't like we just started heading back to the car. The day for me was great until we got caught and swarmed by paparazzi; which Nick freaked out about. "Here, put these on," he says with a frantic face. "Nick honey, what's wrong? Didn't you know this came with the life you live?" I asked as he looked at me with his sunglasses on but didn't answer. He just paid attention to the road as paparazzi vans started coming towards his car. He took a sharp turn tracking them off and then going into the woods. "Okay, good we lost them," he said as he took off his sunglasses. I sighed and looked at him annoyed. Like he didn't want us to be seen by paparazzi's, which is really annoying. It's like he's embarrassed by me, at least that's what I think. "Nick, are you embarrassed by me?" I asked trying to put the picture together. "No, no, I just don't want your parents to find out about you by reading the papers or reading it online or anything like that. Plus Olivia will kill me if she'd find out about you."

"I thought you broke up with Olivia, you know since she cheated on you," I said with an annoyed tone in my voice. "I did," he says with a frown. "So, I don't get why does it matter if she sees the pictures?" I asked him with a little sass in my voice. "Do you still have feelings for her?" "What no baby, I promise I don't," he says with a shocked look on his face.

"Yeah right of course not," I say again with sass.

"Okay, know what I'm not arguing with you about this," he says with a tone that didn't sit with me.

"Fine," I say.

"Look, I was trying to help you since your family doesn't know about us. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with your parents" he says with a rough tone as if he was yelling at me.

I looked at him and just stared at him and looked out the window just ignoring him. Didn't he just say he didn't want to talk about it? What the fuck is his problem?

We dropped off Valentina and then went back to my dorm. I just walked in, not going to turn back to him as he followed me into the room. All was silent until Nick finally spoke up and said; "Clearly, I don't think that I did anything wrong."

"DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG? DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG???!!! You're fucking blindsided then if YOU think you didn't do anything wrong, buddy!!!" I swear sometimes boys can be so stupid it's fucking ridiculous.

"Come on Abs, just because I don't want the paps to take pictures of us doesn't mean I'm embarrassed by you," he says pulling me in close as I dare slap his cheek. "What the hell?" he asked in shock. "DON'T EVER TOUCH ME!" I say through gritted teeth.
