Chapter 22: "New I Do's" Part 2

To say that I was shocked when I saw this face is a complete understatement. I first had to keep my composure in order not to cry or get cold feet in front of Nick's and my family and friends, but it isn't fair that every time I try to have a moment with him it gets ruined. "I'm sorry Sweetie," Papa says with a frown. "But, this a private event."

"You said whoever objects to this marriage speak now or forever hold your peace, well guess what grandpa I am objecting," she says getting all up in his face making me want to grab her by the hair and just body slam her to the ground and then making security come and get her, but this isn't the place.

"Please, can you move away from my face," Papa asks as she just steps away and looks directly towards me. "You shouldn't be here," Nick tells her.

"Excuse me," she says with a weird look on her face. "I was supposed to be YOUR wife," she says so sure of herself and that comment.

"Did you forget what happened at the competition," Nick asks. "If not let me refresh your memory YOU DUMPED MY BUTT," he says to her sternly. Thank God he didn't curse in God's Temple. Both families would've been disappointed. In fact so would I.

Papa Jonas then looks towards Joe and Kevin and whispers something to them making them go and get security I believe.

"YOU," Olivia then says and points a gun at me. "You did this," she tells me. But, all I can do is stay frozen. This girl is a lunatic.

"I-I-I just fell in ll-love," I tell her stuttering my words. It isn't long before she reaches for something which to my suspicion is a gun, but I'm too scared to move away from her. As he then realizes what's going on he then runs to the front of my and asks her "You don't want to do that Liv, because you will be hurting me before killing her, and you don't want to hurt me now do you?"

Just then out of nowhere security grabs her and they walk out with her still in hand as we all just stand there in shock. I was shaken up by it that Jasmine then comes and gets me from where I am standing and just hugs me. "I swear I've never been so frightened in my life," I tell her.

"You're okay now," she tells me as she then hugs me. "Should we go back out there," she asks me when I'm calm enough. I swear I'm still a little shaken and now I don't know if I can do this or not marry Nick after what just happened. All I'm thinking is the worst, but I breathe in and grab Jasmine's hand so she can help me up and say "Yeah let's try this again." She lets me back to my place and Papa then continues for the second time... Dearly Beloved we are gathered here today to bring forces together between a man and a woman to be united as one if anyone wishes to object to this marriage speak now or forever hold your peace," he then states and to my surprise absolutely no one from my family still doesn't raise their hands or yells "I OBJECT!"

"Very well then," he says as he continues. "Now I believe you two wrote your own vows," he says as he clears his throat and winks at Nick. Nick then blushes and says "Okay, this is beyond awkward considering what just happened and the fact that I am technically the "reserved" one of the Jonas's, but anyways," he says while taking a breath and saying what's in his heart or I believe that's where it came from.

"Aby," he says as he blushes. "When I first met you, you were this fragile little kid who barely had a nickel to her name, but you've grown and shown me that if love is true and if it's worth fighting for then why the heck not then go for it you've taught me how to be spontaneous, which is more of Joe's thing," everyone just busts out laughing making the second oldest Jonas blush.

"But all jokes aside," he says making me want to cry... "You're the first person that I've truly wanted to grow old with and to spend all of the eternity with despite our limitations." When he mentions his diabetes and my Cerebral Palsy I've had it with this man I know he's the one.

"Aby," Papa looks at me and I look out to everyone else who is just staring at me judging me, because of the decisions I've made, they weren't very Christian of me so I just say "I'm sorry I cannot do this not here at least," and I take off. Runaway bride status people... I know don't ever follow it.

"Aby baby," Nick then says when I come to a stop in the church music room the question is why did I come here?

"Hey you okay," he asks me with a frowned look on his face.

"Nick, I love you, but I just couldn't do it with all those people staring at me and judging me for my life choices this is really fucked up I know that, but I do love you."

He looks up at me and he just tells me "Breathe," so I do and then he goes on to asks me "Do you want me to get my Dad so we can do it privately," even though so many people came up here to celebrate Nick and me I don't want them to be disappointed and shocked for life.

"You don't love me," I tell him just out of shock.

"Excuse me were you not just listening to what I said and how I saved you just now before security took that lunatic away," he tells me. "Aby, what's going on," he asks me yet again with just worry in his face right at the moment.

It was at that moment where he took a seat at an old piano and he touched those black and white ivory-looking keys and he then started singing. "I know that endless love isn't something you can't teach. With you, there is not a star in the sky that I can't reach. So if you must know the truth I knew it was you so when you will and when you won't I Do," he sings with such beauty and finesses it honestly brings shivers down my spine.

"You do love me," I tell him with a smile on my face although it was kind of corny of him to pick that song to sing to me.

"Of course I do baby," he says as he comes back to me wrapping his arms around me. "So," he asks. "Do you want to go back out there and recite your vows to the entire room or I could have my Dad come here and do it on the DL and for just so you know it means Down Low, not Demi Lovato," he says with a smile.

"She is here though right," I asked.

"Of course she is she is my best friend after all," he says and then asking "Well?"

I sigh and say "Why don't we go back out there," as I grab his hand and he picks me up bridal style and brings me back to where it all was supposed to happen. Papa then says "Now for the third time," but I just stop him right there and say "Papa no need to repeat let me just say my vows." He nods and lets me have the floor.

"My sweet dear Nickybear," I start off as everyone laughs and he turns bright red in the face. "When I first met you I didn't think it could turn into something more than just a fan of 10 years finally meeting her biggest idol, you have taught me to never let your limitations slow you down and with every obstacle we take on this journey I'm glad we're doing this together, because there isn't anyone else I would rather do it with my God do I love you with all my heart and I will love you to the moon and back and for all eternity," I say making Papa shed a tear or two.

"And now by the power invested in me by the great state of New Jersey I now pronounce you husband and wife you may now," and even before he can finish his sentence Nick is already kissing me not wanting to waste any time. My world is now complete with this man in my life. Little did I know my world was going to be turned upside down.

Starting with me letting go of my "legs" dropping to my knees sobbing and a shot to my heart.
