Within the Moon

Prolouge

I take a deep breath and look at the vast emptiness before me. There's nothing but blackness. The only things that there is here is the ground I stand upon and the sun reflecting off the surface. There's more though, a large blue, green, and white planet, Earth. I want to go there. I think but I know that that would be impossible. Suddenly, a creature wearing a large white suit and a huge shiny black helmet from Earth walks towards me. "Here goes nothing." I breathe as I leave the letter I have written on the ground for the creature to find and bring back I then run and hide in a nearby crater. The creature stops in its tracks and looks down at the letter, it then picks it up and puts it in what I would presume a pocket. I sigh with relief as the creature returns to the strange machine and joins a group of other creatures together, they go into the machine and after a while, the machine takes off heading back to their home. " Luna!" a voice suddenly shouts behind me.

"What?"

" Our parents are worried about you, you've been gone for ages. Where in the moon have you been?!"

"Was I gone for that long? I only stayed for a little bit to watch the creatures take off!"

"Yes, you were gone that long! Come on now, we have to get home!"

I sigh in defeat and I follow my sister home. As we walked, Annabelle suddenly asks "What did you write in that letter of yours?" I stare at her in shock, why would she want to know that? As if reading my mind Annabelle states that she only wanted to know cause she was bored. I took a while to think, I didn't want to say everything in the letter because some of it was....personal. Finally, I take a deep breath and said the last sentence in the letter that I knew she wanted to hear.
