I turn into a grandma

Hunter and I walked over to large cabinets that stood close to the black walls. He opened one of the cabinets and brought out two pairs of gloves. He walked back over to me with a huge grin, which was almost creepy.

"Get ready to get your butt kicked!" He said giving me a pair of gloves. I rolled my eyes.

"It would be pretty sad if I didn't get my butt kicked" I retorted. Hunter gulped and clutched his heart. "Wow, that hurt" He said.

I smiled and put the gloves onto my hands. "Okay, so what we're going to start with is just a simple move" He said. Why was I even learning to fight anyways? I sighed and nodded.

Hunter moved closer to me and instructed me to stand in position, hands raised into fists and arms raised in front of my chest. I stepped forward onto one foot and the other foot behind me. Hunter did the same and smiled quite evilly. This kid is weird. First he tries on a dress, next he'll be talking about how to apply the smokey eye.

"Ready?" He asked. I nodded and nearly forgot how my legs worked when Hunter came running at me like a gazelle. My eyes were practically popping out of my head from surprise. He turned around and quickly and grabbed me by the waist. I jumped and grabbed his collar. He took his other hand and placed it behind my thigh. I gulped when he looked at me.

He smirked and I blushed. What was he doing. Was he feeling me up?

I was shaken out of my daze when he lifted my leg, making my other leg slip under me, and slammed me down onto the floor. Ouch.

I gasped and tried to get up but he trapped me. "First rule of fighting, don't let the pretty boy seduce you, it will probably  be the last time anyone will" Hunter said getting off of me. I sat up slowly and looked down at the floor. How did he do that so quickly? I just realized how bad I was when it came to reasonably cute boys. Remember I said reasonably......

^^^^^^^^^^

I walked back to the house sporting a new bruise on my back. Wow that hurt like I had just been in a street fight, oh wait I just did.

After that little fight I quickly got up and walked to the door. Hunter tried tirelessly to apologies for winding me. I just ignored him and concentrated on the throbbing pain in my back. I was mostly upset that he made me look like a grandma with a bad back.

I kicked the leaves on the path when I finally reached the tree house.  I made my way up the stairs when I realized it was practically the end of the day. What time did I wake up at?

I sighed anyway and walked up to the door. That was when I heard a trumpet? I turned towards the sound and saw that a large crowd was brewing. They were only about twenty meters away. I decided to see what they were doing and headed down the stairs.

As I got closer I saw that the towns people were sitting on the grass in front of a stage. There were lanterns that hung form the tree branches and a fire that was lit in the very middle of the stage.  As I got closer I saw that Hunter had already come here. He sat at the back, all by himself. I decided that I should go sit with him. If I didn't I would be a loner, okay?

I was only ten steps away from him when a group of girls came running up to him. They each wore very short flowery dresses. Their hair was covered in what seemed like lavender and daisies. I didn't like them, and I didn't know why. I huffed and decided to just sit where I was.

"You a loner too?" a boys voice said behind me. I turned to face River who was standing. I smiled and nodded, with an embarrasses grin planted on my face. He laughed and I think I just shivered. He had a really nice laugh to say the least. "Yeah, my friends left me for some group of girls. Mind if I sit with you?" River asked.

"Uh, y-yeah sure, I mean yes, definitely" I said, practically stuttering over each word. Damn it. He smiled and sat next to me. God Damn my face was turning hotter by the second.

"Um, so, I thought you were really good at that fight today" I said pulling at the grass. He laughed and brought his legs up close to his chest and wrapped his arms around them.

"Thanks, I thought your fight was pretty good too" He said laughing. I groaned and put my head in my hands. " Whatever. It was my first time, okay?" I said defending myself.

He laughed again and made me shiver. He needs to stop laughing. "Your face was as red as a tomato when you left" He said through his laughs. Well at least I know that I am pretty funny. I turned to him and punched his arm. I don't know where the courage came from but it felt good to punch him. But it hurt, his arm was really muscly. He stopped laughing and looked me in the eye.

"You know you're pretty but those things don't get you far here. How bout I help you with your fighting?" He said.

"Yeah, that would be great" I said not even thinking. He smiled again. "Good, how about we start tomorrow?" He asked. "Yeah, I'd like that" I said.
