Sorry

White ceiling
Smell of something
Greet me in the morning

My body hurts from such pain
The knowledge of knowing I'm in the hospital is what I gain
My eyes keep on wanderin'
Searching for something rather someone certain

Laying peacefully on my side,
Her hair hidden the beauty inside
I tuck it carefully on the back of her ear, trying not to wake her up
But I didn't succeed as she slowly open her eyes as I meet those colorful orbs sending such chill in my spine

She came rattling and eagerly wanted to catch my hand
I hold it instead and say her name with so much love, "Sapphire."

I heard her breathe out a sigh, as if there was an lungful of oxygen suffocating her inside.

"W-what h-happened?" She ask with a shaky voice.

I know any moment, a salt liquid will slid down in her cheeks.
And that thought gave me an ache, much ache than to what my body feels right now.

"Sorry." That one word is all I can say.

"Sorry, too."

Five letters, one word. Short yet heartbreaking.

And what's more painful is I know what she meant.

Sorry.
