The world is spinning,
All are fighting,
Few are winning,
Life so frightening,
Defined by deaths writing.
You tell me trust,
I ask the cost,
Is it the wait and rust,
Or more soul lost?
You tell me speak,
When you will not hear,
You think me meek,
Yet never see my fear.
The voices too close,
Yet no will to fight,
So much to lose,
Yet no light.
I'm trying!
But you don't see,
The hurt and lying,
In front of me.
Have I done enough?
Are you finally through?
Or am I still too much,
But not enough for you?
You tell me I will face the dark,
And stand there and laugh.
I've already reached that mark,
I wonder how long I'll last.
