ZAVIAN'S POV

I flinched at how defeated Kaira sounded. Guilt flooded through me and my wolf whimpered. I couldn't let her go though. I had to take her.

I raised my right hand and placed it over her neck, right on her pressure point. Kaira squirmed and thrashed about frantically before she finally became limp.

I pulled my hand away and grimaced. How could I do that? Knock out my own mate?

How could I do this? I thought over and over as I lifted her limp body into my arms. My wolf was silent, occasionally whimpering at what we had done.

James and Sam said nothing as they lifted Kaira's wolf-dog into our jeep. I could tell that they didn't like doing this, as well as their wolves. But I'm their future Alpha, they had to listen to me.

They got into the back of our jeep silently; I placed Kaira next to me in the passenger seat. She looked so peaceful as she slept. I reached a hand over and stroked her cheek, I pulled my hand back and frowned at it. Why was it wet?

I whimpered aloud as I took in a single tear streak down Kaira's cheek.

She is never going to forgive me for this. I thought making my wolf whimper then growl. 'SHE IS MATE! She will love us' he whispered the last part in a hopeful voice making me sigh.

I glanced over at Kaira and my wolf whimpered once more.

Please. Please forgive me Kaira.

KAIRA'S POV

I could see the light through my eyeslids. I fluttered my eyes open and squinted. I pulled the blanket closer to me and rolled over. Wait. Blanket!?

I jumped up and out of the bed. I looked around the room frantically. This wasn't my room, what the hell?

I turned to the door and my eyes widened as anger flared through me. I stomped to the door ripping it open. I could hear voices from downstairs making my anger boil even more.

I stomped down the stairs jumping over the last one. The talking had stopped and the air was thick with tension when I stormed into the kitchen.

4 people were in there gaping at me wide-eyed. My head snapped to the person who was slowly standing from his seat with soft eyes.

"ASSHOLE! YOU SON OF A BITCH WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE!?" I shouted at him, everyone flinched including him. "I-" he started but I cut him off by turning on my heel and running to the front door.

I yanked the door open and ran out to the front yard, we were on the edge of the forest. I started running in the opposite direction of the forest when I was tackled to the ground. My face almost hit the concrete before someone flipped me over, taking the impact.

I heard a grunt as we landed. I started thrashing around trying to escape the person's hold when they tightened it and jumped up effortlessly. Me still being in their arms.

"Try that again and you won't be seeing your little wolf again" the person I recognised as Zavian hissed into my ear. I froze and stopped thrashing.

Kronas! How the hell could I forget!? What kind of a person am I? Oh my god I'm a horrible owner.

"Where is he?" I strained out, I felt Zavian's hold on my waist loosen slightly. "Somewhere you won't be able to tell him to kill us" he stated in an amused tone.

I grit my teeth together "I swear to God if you've hurt him I'll beat the shit out of you" I threatened angrily. I felt Zavian's grip harden. "Do. Not. Talk. To. Me. Like. That" he gritted out. I smirked "arww are you getting upset?" I asked in a baby voice.

Zavian grunted before dragging me back to his house. I followed willingly trying to form a plan to find Kronas and escape from here.

Zavian dragged me up the stairs of his huge house and into the room I woke up in.  "Asshole I swear you better tell me what the hell I'm doing here" I spat at him. I saw hurt  flash over his eyes but it was quickly replaced with a void look.

"The quicker you settle in the faster you find out why you're here" he said calmly. I grunted and flopped onto the bed "There! I'm settled now tell me why I'm here" I stated my arms crossed.

Zavian chuckled deeply "start behaving. I don't want to have to cuff you to the bed post" he said with a smirk. My eyes widened "you fucking asshole get your old ass away from me!" I shouted at him angrily.

He narrowed his eyes "I'm not old" he said in a cold voice. I smirked "I can see a few greys" I stated in a smug voice, pointing to his hair. His nostrils flared and he clenched his jaw, before swiftly turning and walking out of the door.

He stopped at the door frame and turned his head giving me a clear view to his side profile. "Don't try to escape. Or you'll never see your little wolf again" he stated through gritted teeth, attempting to keep calm.

I kept my stare on his back as he walked out and locked the door behind him.

I need to get out of here.
