KAIRA'S POV

I did it! I came up with a plan! It only took me 15 minutes so I'm hoping it works. I walked over to the door and opened it. My eyes widened; I was shocked that the asshole hadn't locked it.

I shrugged and continued my journey to the kitchen after seeing the light through the hallway. It was late, past 10pm, but I had a feeling that Zavian was awake.

I slowly walked down the dark wood stairs of the freaking huge house, not to mention there's a chandelier! Anyway, I walked into the kitchen slowly.

Zavian was sat there in a white vest and black jogging bottoms. His muscular, toned back was facing me and I could see steam coming from in front of him. He was drinking coffee judging from the smell. Zavian's muscles flexed each time he raised the cup to take a sip and I swear I almost melted.

"Zavian?" I called softly. Zavian tensed then turned to face me, he sent me a lazy smile as I took in his features. His eyes were bloodshot as if he hadn't slept in days, and he had slight bags under them. "Are you ok?" I asked in concern; my eyes widened at what I asked. Why the hell did I care?

Zavian smiled slightly and nodded before rubbing his eyes and stretching his muscular, delici- uh arms.  "Why aren't you asleep?" he asked huskily, he sounded like he'd just woken up. I resisted the urge to shiver and didn't reply.

Zavian gestured for me to sit in front of him. I hesitated before stiffly walking in front of him and taking a seat.

I didn't know what to say so stared at my hands that were resting on my thighs under the island bench. "Do you want some coffee?" Zavian asked awkwardly as he slid his cup towards me. I looked up at him and raised a brow. "Did you drug it?" I asked jokingly with a smirk.

Zavian chuckled and rolled his eyes "of course I did" I laughed at him. "No thanks" I stated getting up and walking to the sink.

"Um, where are your cups?" I asked looking up at the oak wood cabinets. I heard Zavian slide his stool out and walk towards me. A second later, I felt his hand on my hip as he reached his arm up and opened a cabinet.

Tingles were firing through me and I had to bite my lip so I didn't gasp at the sensation. Zavian took out a short glass and placed it on the counter before shutting the cabinet. He still had a firm but soft grip on my hip, as he turned the tap on and filled my glass with water.

I felt his hand tighten it's grip, holding me still as he bent down to my ear. My breathing sped up and my grip on the counter tightened. "Here you go" he whispered huskily into my ear. I felt his breath flutter past my ear making me shiver.

"I um, th-thank you" I stuttered out. I heard Zavian chuckle as he stepped away and released my hip. I let out a breath of relief and picked up the cup and had a sip. "I was thinking.." "uh oh" Zavian laughed out.

I narrowed my eyes and pouted. Zavian quickly stopped laughing, his eyes darkened and he stood still. I raised a brow and shook my head "if I behave.. And don't try to leave, can I have Kronas back?" I hid the hopefulness in my voice quite well if you ask me, but Zavian must've noticed.

He pinched the bridge of his nose as he leant against the doorway with his arms crossed. Zavian sighed and closed his eyes before opening them again and looking at me. "You promise not to try to escape?" he asked tiredly. I smiled brightly at him "yup!" I told him. He chuckled and shook his head before sighing again. "Alright fine"

I gasped "oh my god thank you!" I shouted at him. Zavian smiled brightly revealing pearly whites, his smile took my breath away.

"Come" he told me gesturing with his hand as he turned around. I raised a brow "do I look like a dog?" I asked sarcastically before rolling my eyes and following after him.

I heard him mutter something about respect making me scoff. Zavian walked outside before stopping and turning to me.

It was dark given that it was almost 11pm. I looked up at him curiously wondering why he stopped when he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I froze in shock before my body involuntarily relaxed.

Zavian rubbed his thumb on my shoulder as he walked us to a shed like Hut at the back of the house. My body snuggled closer to him, seeking his warmth.

I have to say, his garden was huge and beautiful; it led into the forest. It was all grass with a stone pathway through the middle.

I rested my head against his chest and breathed deeply. I could smell the smell of the dirt mixed with rain making me smile.

"Here" Zavian stopped outside the Hut and I instantly ran out of his arms. I heard a whimper from behind me.

I flung the door open and was immediately attacked by a growling Kronas. He pounced on me making me fall onto the floor on my back. Kronas stood protectively over me, snarling at Zavian.

I placed my arm around his back and the other under his neck before pulling him to me. I snuggled into him stroking his fur soothingly. I heard him purr and Zavian groan in annoyance.

I narrowed my eyes at him before patting Kronas, signalling for him to get off me.

Kronas growled warningly at Zavian once more then reluctantly got off me. I stood up and dusted myself off. Kronas was still growling at Zavian.

I looked at Zavian to see his eyes darker as he glared at Kronas. I rolled my eyes in annoyance "ok boys break it up" I said irritatedly.

Zavian's glare turned to me and then softened. He smiled slightly at me and for some god forsaken reason I returned it.

I stepped forward to go back to the house, knowing my plan wouldn't work if I tried it now. The moment I stepped forward, Zavian placed his arm on my shoulders. 

I opened my mouth to yell at him when Kronas growled and jumped Zavian. He bit into Zavian's arm that was in front of his face protectively.

I gasped and Zavian grunted but he wasn't defending himself. "KRONAS!" I shouted loudly and angrily. Kronas and Zavian froze.

"GET OFF HIM NOW!" I shouted at Kronas. He whimpered before lowering his head and stepping off Zavian. I quickly ran to Zavian's side and fell to my knees. "Zavian! Are you ok?" I asked frantically as I helped him up.

He looked at me and raised a brow, not even acting as if he was in pain. "Do I look ok?" he asked irritatedly as he stood up and wiped down his trousers. I frowned and lowered my hands before standing up and walking towards the house.

"Baby no, I'm sorry ok?" he said in a sad tone grabbing my hand. The tingles were still there and I instantly felt better. "We should fix your arm" I said monotonously.

He nodded and sent me a small smile to which I ignored before turning and walking back to the house.

Kronas had his head held high with a wolfish grin as he trotted next to me.
