Chapter 9 My New Home

Lucy's POV

With the money I won from the bet I had enough for a new apartment and nice furniture. I bought a nice little apartment not far from Fairy Tail with a 70,000 monthly rent. It wasn't what I was use to that's for sure but it was nice to be living alone with Plue not having to worry about anything, not father and not the legendary 5. This is heaven. It was so late after that fight that I went straight to bed after purchasing the apartment. So this morning I take a bubble bath with Plue and change into something more comfortable. A crop top tang top with pink and light pink stripes, and a pair of light blue short shorts.

I decided to keep my hair down since I had no plans on going to the guild today because I still had to unpack and rearrange my furniture. My thick blond hair falls at my hips creating a curtain as I bend down to grab my bag. Sometimes I hate my hair, I usually put my hair up because it gets in the way but I'm at home so who cares. I was hanging up my clothes when I caught the smell of smoke and cinnamon and roll my eyes.

"Natsu what are you doing here?" I ask without turning around ignoring the part inside me that was secretly happy that he was here.

"I came to check out your new pad."

"Aye nice place you got here." Happy was walking around and sat down next to Plue.

"Hey Lucy I've been meaning to ask but what is that?" Natsu asked. I follow his line of sight to Plue.

"You've never seen a Nicola before?" he tilts his head cofused. That gave me my answer, This place is weird.

"Is that his name?" I shake my head.

"No that's the species, his name is Plue. I've had him since I was 8." I sit down petting him. I smile thinking back about the day I got him. In a way he's all I have left. "Puun." Plue sits on my lap eating a lollipop.

"Hey strawberry let's go out and get some food. " I glare at Natsu.

"My name is Lucy, and I'm going to stay home today I have plenty to do here." I place Plue on the floor and start putting my hair up when Natsu grabs my hand.

"Leave it. Your hair looks nice down." My eyes widen and I get butterflies in my stomach. I'm sure I'm blushing as I swat his hand away and start rearrange my things. Damn it why am I feeling this!

Natsu's POV

I smirk at her reaction and fall on her bed. "Natsu! Just get out and let me clean my house I'm not ready for guests." "But your place is way more exciting." I tell her. Your here. I watch her bend over to get more clothes and bite back a groan. That ass is going to be the death of me. It was a work of art! I look away before I get to carried away and see a picture on the end table at the side of her bed. I pull it closer to examine it. It's was a close up of an older version of Lucy and a little girl with short blond hair and brown eyes and Plue between them. I knew Lucy was the little girl. Was the other one her sister?

"Hey Lucy who is this?" I ask showing her the picture. She sees the picture and turns away

"That's my mom." I frown at her tone but shrug and set the picture down.

"Natsu I'm hungry." Happy complains.

"Lucy we're hungry." I second. Lucy glares at me.

"Then go eat! Why are you telling me?"

"Its more fun to eat together."I answer looking at her ceiling.

"Aye." Lucy turns to us with her hands on her hips.

"Natsu I swear to God if you don't get out I'm going to throw you out the window. Why don't you just wait for me at the guild?" I jump off the bed.
