Chapter 17 Questions, Questions.

Lucy's POV

A women with shoulder length curly blue hair and furious dark blue eyes stormed through the doors of the guild glaring at me. She had a black jacket like dress that went down to her knees, a brown belt emphasizing her small waist and a matching black hat with a butterfly pin on it. She stomped over to me in her brown knee high boots.

"Forgive me but who are you?" I ask politely Gray on the other hand just rolled his eyes keeping his arm around me. At least have the decency to have clothes on when you touch me!

"Juvia calm down. This is Lucy, Natsu's new partner." Gray explains finally removing his arm from around me. Her eyes widen in surprise.

"Natsu has chosen a partner?" She said in a not quite believing tone. Is it really that big a deal that I'm Natsu's partner? You won't be for long. A sharp pain went through my heart.

"What's wrong?" Natsu asked suddenly appearing at my side between Gray and I. I didn't realize I was rubbing the pain away on my sternum. The pain immediately ceased but my heart started its crap up again. I smile a small smile at his concern, genuinely touched.

"I'm fine, thank you." I tell him. I turn to 'Juvia' "It's a pleasure to meet you Juvia. I'm Lucy." I greet bowing politely. She seemed surprised by this and suddenly bowed as well.

"No, the pleasure is Juvia's, she had no idea Natsu had finally chosen a partner, Juvia is truly overwhelmed!" She shouts in shock. She really talks funny. I straighten up and arch a brow at Natsu. He just rolled his eyes.

"You guys are exaggerating this way to much." Natsu comments throwing his arm around me "Your all just jealous I found her first." He boasted proudly. I blush, he is so close! Thinking quickly I shove him away from me. Being so close, he could probably hear my heart pound. I can't let him know the power he has over me.

"So Erza was just telling me they had another water mage here." I comment keeping my eyes on Juvia but listening out for Natsu. I don't think I could have helped it if I tried.

"Lucy is a water mage?" Juvia's eyes widening even further.

"Kind of. Im a Water Dragon Slayer." I clarify smiling a small smile.

"Yeah, now we have 4 dragon slayers here in Fairy Tail." Levy chimes in. What? I stare at Levy in shock.

"You have 2 other dragon slayers here?" I know Natsu and I are among that list, but others? Everyone glares at Natsu.

"You didn't tell her?" Everyone shouts at him. He sweat dropped looking away from everyone as he shrugged.

"It never came up. Besides we were busy with the mission." He defends crossing his arms coming up beside me again. Yeah, the mission that was an utter waste of time.

"Who are the other dragon slayers?" I ask bringing the conversation back.

"Natsu of course, then there's Gajeel and Wendy." Gajeel? That pierced guy? Speak of the devil he came waltzing up and wrapped Levy in his arms. They seem really close.

"Yup, I'm the Iron Dragon Slayer." He claims. A young girl with long dark blue hair and brown eyes strolled over with happy and a white cat around her.

"Nice to meet you Lucy, I'm Wendy the Sky Dragon Slayer." She introduced her self with a bright smile. She is really cute.

"Who taught you guys Dragon Slaying." I ask in a serious tone. I have a rough idea but I want to hear them say it.

"Metalicana the Iron Dragon" Gajeel claimed. "Grandine the Sky Dragon." Wendy said proudly. I knew it. Did dad know that all the student dragon slayers are residing here? Of course he did, he was the one that sent the dragons here in the first place, but why would he send me here instead of a distant land in Arcana? what could I learn here that I can't learn there? Or, is it even about learning?... What could he be keeping from me?
