i thought
after the end
of the last
i made a promise.
as those tears
blocked up my throat
i made a promise.
never again will i fall so far,
said i to mineself.
but this condition
inescapable.
never again,
thought i
will i trust so deeply
never never.
but never is a strong word
that i must have used
without judgement.
it floods into my thoughts again,
invades
go away
not any more
please stay
i am enjoying this
don’t go away.
and when i fall,
for i will fall
that i am certain of –
would you run to catch me
stitch my wounds
listen to my promises.
promises.
but this thing will always come back.
inescapable.
