Chapter 8: Getting to Know You!

Your POV:

It's about mid February and I've been living with the boys for close to 7 months. We've recorded a few Christmas songs along with releasing their first album in August last year when I started working for them. I started to enjoy some of the songs that they were recording and decided to see what other songs they had and ended up downloading 11 of their songs; 1 from the Christmas album, 6 from their first full album XOXO and 4 from EXO-K's mini album. And I'm currently listening to 'What is Love', mumbling the lyrics as D.O and Baekhyun's voice travel into my head through the headphones I'm wearing.

"Hmm mm mm mmm," I hum the second verse as I walk out of my room to get a glass of water. As I walk into the kitchen, I take one headphone off, just in case anyone talks to me, still humming.

"What are you humming?" I hear someone ask me from behind. I turn around to see a smirking Kai following me into the kitchen.

"Nothing," I lie, slightly embarrassed about listening to their music. Kai looks me up and down, not believing me.

"Okay," he says sarcastically, walking away. I subconsciously sigh as I watch him walk out of the kitchen and probably back to his room. I then turn around and walk to the cupboard, reaching up to get a glass before I hear the chorus again.

"I lost my mind..." I mumble as I get the jug of water out of the fridge. As I turn back around to the bench, I see D.O leaning on the bench from the other side, squinting at me. My eyes go wide in slight fear.

He didn't hear me, did he? I wonder as I slowly walk back to the bench, staring at D.O.

"What were you singing?" D.O questions me, standing up right and looking at me quizzically.

"Singing? I wasn't singing," I say, feigning innocence.

"Yes you were. I just heard you," D.O says, protesting slightly.

"I think you're hearing things," I say, looking at my glass as I pour the water into my cup.

"Sure, sure," D.O says, walking away. I smile to myself, proud of how I handle the situation. I bite my lip to restrain the giggles that threaten to come out as I take a sip from my drink.

I finish the water and place the cup in the sink before walking out of the kitchen whilst listening to the last chorus play. Just as I walk past the dinning room, the song finishes changing to 'two moons', bringing out that little bit of gangsta deep, deep, deep down in me. I start mouthing the lyrics as I walk before suddenly stopping when Chenyeol's part starts and I see Chanyeol in the hallway, giving me an odd look.

Oh shit. Now you've done it, I think sarcastically to myself Chanyeol keeps looking at me. I look back at him before he hesitantly starts walking again. I slowly walk back to my room before quickly shutting the door, leaning my back on the door to make sure it's closed. I momentarily sigh as I slide down the door before I end up sitting, 'two moons' still playing.

That was close!

TIME SKIP:

It's around 8:30 and I just got out of the shower and got dressed. I was the last one to take a shower so the other boys are in the living room watching a movie except for Kris and Lu Han who have to go to an interview tomorrow so they plan on having an early night. I walk out of the fairly clean bathroom and go back to my room, putting my dirty clothes in a basket in my room, hanging my towel, and grabbing my phone and headphones before heading to the living room. The boys are watching an action movie which doesn't really interest me so I plan on listening to music while reading the new schedule. As I walk down the hall I turn on my music and the first song to start playing is 'peter pan'. I smile to myself as the chorus starts, feeling giddy and 'warm inside'.
