READER'S POV:
"Ah, Lay, you're so innocent," Heechul chuckles before drinking from his wine glass, a couple of strands of his black hair falling in front of his face. Lay too drinks form his glass, however, filled with water, the dim light from the chandelier glow off off his soft skin. We sit in a secluded booth in the far end of the extravagant restaurant, talking and relaxing after our delicious and rather expensive meal. I sit across from Heechul, Lay beside me, sort of cornering me next to the air vent, blowing cold air onto me bare shoulders and slightly exposed chest. As much as I love this black dress with a V-cut neckline, I wished that I had at least bought a shawl with it.
"So, tell me, F/N," Heechul starts, placing his now empty wine glass on the table. He rests both of his elbows on the table, his hands together as he rests his slightly flushed head on them, a sly smirk playing on his lips. "Do you like any of the EXO boys?"
"Well, actually-"
"Like?" I quickly question, interrupting Lay before he can say anything else. "Of course I like the boys. I like all of them equally," I feign innocence, smiling widely to cover up the lie.
"PFFT! Hah!" Lay immediately blurts out. I glare at him menacingly, almost daring him to see if he's brave enough to say something.
"Yeah, even I can tell thats a lie," Heechul says a little to loud, exaggerating the 'I'. I think Oppa's a little tipsy... "CLearLy you like Baekhyun, Sehun and Lay MORE than the others!" he slurs loudly, the many glasses of wine beginning to kick in. We're just lucky that we're the last costumers in the restaurant.
"Sshh Oppa!" I try to shush him, leaning over the table slightly.
"You're right Hyung, but I bet you can't guess who she likes the most~" Lay taunts me, enticing tipsy Heechul to play his game. He keeps his eyes locked with mine, glaring at him, my eyebrows scrunched together.
"Ooh! Ooh! Let me guess!" Heechul chants excitedly before animatedly thinking to himself, one hand holding his chin, his lips pursed. I turn away from the evil Lay to watch Oppa's expression slowly turn from one of contemplation to one of realisation. "It's Baekhyun, isn't it!?"
I let out a sigh of relief. Good. He doesn't actually know-
"I'm just joking. I know it's Sehun," he quickly states, grabbing his empty glass, going to take a drink only now realising it's empty. His statement shocks me to my core, me mouth hanging open like a cod fish. W-what?! How does he know?! Am-am I that obvious..?
"Ahahaha. Calm down, F/N," Lay chuckles next to me. "I told him a while back," he reassures me, placing a heavy hand on my bare, and very cold shoulder. "Ooh! you're cold, F/N. Why didn't you say anything," he quickly retracts his hand from me, somewhat telling me off.
"What do you expect? She's not wearing layers," Heechul comments as he slides out of the booth, straightening his blazer as he stands. "Why don't you give her your's?" He suggests, Lay also standing up from the booth.
"Because I'm only wearing a singlet under this jacket," he explains as I scooch along the red leather seats. I swing me legs around from under the table. "Why don't you give her your jacket?" Lay asks back, giving me his hand to help me up.
"Because she might dirty it with her weird personality," he states nonchalantly. For a second time tonight, I open my mouth, pretending to be shocked to cover up my amusement. All night, he's been making remarks like this. It took me a while to realise that that's his humour. One I do find absolutely hilarious.
"Ouch! That hurt," I mock, trying to stop the smile from appearing on my face.
I grab my small, black clutch purse from the table. I open my purse to grab my phone out as the two begin to walk towards the counter by the entrance. I walk slowly to somewhat follow them as I turn on my phone. Oh wow! It's already midnight... I guess time flies when you're having fun... hmm what's this? I question as I scroll through my notifications. A message from Lee... Something about China... hmm maybe a trip or something. Ah, I'll check it when I get home. I close my phone and walk quickly to catch up with Lay and Oppa, my heels clicking loudly against the marble floor, echoing throughout the empty restaurant. As I walk towards the two boys at the counter, I open my purse again, placing my phone back in and taking out my credit card, ready to pay my share of the bill.
