Chapter 14: Oh No

Sehun POV:
I stand there, silently, as I watch Kris, Lu Han and F/N walk down the hall and out the front door, the future of EXO in their hands.

Why? Why would they want to leave? I ask myself, standing still in the middle of the silent hallway. I stay still, just staring at the door in silence, but the longer I stare at the door, the more emotional I start to feel, my eyes beginning to sting a little.

No, Sehun! Don't become some little emotional toddler! You may be the youngest but that's no excuse. You have to be strong... For everyone, I tell myself, harshly. I close my eyes and take in a deep breath, calming myself down before slowly turning around.

I'm already up... May as well stay up. It's not like I could get much more sleep anyway, I tell myself, yawning as I make my way towards the kitchen, planning to make myself a coffee. As I turn the corner to enter the kitchen, I stop in surprise as I see a sleepy Kai standing by the kettle in the kitchen, small bits of steam slowly rising from the kettle as the water boils.

What's he doing up-

"Oh, morning, Sehun," Kai greets me in a sluggish voice, rubbing his eye with one hand, and reaching up into the cup cupboard with the other. "Wanna a coffee?"

"Uhh, yeah- Yes please," I manage to stutter, trying to hide my confusion. Kai ignores my weirdness and grabs to coffee cups from the cupboard, placing them on the bench, an awkward silence filling the place as he makes the two coffees. I curl my lips inwards in my mouth as a nervous habit as my eyes wander around the room, wondering if Kai will say anything. I look back at Kai to see him pouring in the hot water and milk into the two mugs before he starts to stir one with a teaspoon. He then suddenly looks up at me, making me jump slightly in surprise.

"What's got you so jumpy this morning?" He asks me in confusion as he hands me the cup of coffee.

"Thanks. And nothing," I mumble, keeping my eyes locked on the coffee as I grip it with both hands. I can sense Kai eyes on me still as he stirs the other cup of coffee on the bench, silence falling on the both of us. I slowly bring the coffee cup close to my nose and inhale the rich smell of coffee beans, instantly calming my nerves. I slowly bring the cup to my lips and pour the hot liquid in my mouth, warming my entire body as I swallow it, letting a relaxed sigh out.

"We calmer now?" I suddenly hear Kai ask. I look up from the mug to see Kai leaning back against the kitchen bench, sipping his own cup of coffee.

Oh. That's right. Kai's here, I say to myself as Kai takes the cup away from his mouth and looks over at me, waiting for a response.

"Oh, yes. Much calmer now, thank you," I say in a small voice, looking back down at the mug in my hands, hoping he doesn't ask anything. I'm not allowed to tell anyone; F/N's orders. I slowly raise my eyes to look at Kai, only to see him smiling and shaking his head. "What?"

"Hmm, nothing," he chuckles, taking another sip of his coffee. I stare at him for a moment, confused, before looking back down at the warm, light brown liquid in the cup, swirling slightly in the silence of the kitchen.

"I couldn't help but notice..." Kai then starts up again in a slightly sarcastic tone. Oh, here we go, I think to myself as I look up to see his sarcastic face, pretending to think. "...that you and F/N were in her room, particularly early this morning. Any reason for that? Care to explain?" He asks me in a suggestive tone, a sly smirk plastered on his face.

"I... Don't know... What you're talking about?" I ask him, completely confused by his tone and at whatever he's hinting about. There's no way he would know about that conversation. Besides, he wouldn't be smiling at me like that if he knew. So what the hell is he going on about?
