Tears of Love

*Meghan's POV*

Tears were cascading down my cheeks. Happy tears, but tears all the same. God, Danny looked so nervous! I saw a tear fall down his cheek.

"Daniel John Mark Luke O'Donoghue, you know the feckin' answer. Of course I will!"

He picked me up and spun me round. When he put me down, he put a beautiful diamond ring on my left ring finger, and when he looked up, I saw tears falling freely down his face, "God, I love you, so much, Meghan O'Donoghue."

I kissed him, softly, and our foreheads rested together, "I love you, too, Danny, so, so much." I smirked a little bit, "Meghan O'Donoghue? Ah, that'll do!"

He laughed, "Good. Don't you ever change, Meghan."

"I don't think I plan to, but don't you go changing, either. I love you for you."

*Danny's POV*

Oh, my fucking God...She'd actually said yes... Right now, I didn't really care how much I was crying, because I was going to marry the one girl I loved. I loved how her response was so typically her.

The next day was the day before we went back to London, so we went to see my mum. She'd been dying to meet Meghan. She'd told me that, while we'd been in Ireland, she'd been watching a few of Meghan's performances, on YouTube. She agreed that Meg was amazingly talented. She'd called a few times, just for a quick chat, but it felt great that I'd be seeing her, face to face, again, after God knows how long.

Meg and I got out of a taxi, at her house, and knocked on the front door.

Mum opened it, and instantly gave me a hug, which was difficult seeing as she's much shorter than me, "Daniel! So good to see you!"

"Great to see you, too, mum!"

She let go, and looked at Meg, "So this is Meghan! So good to finally see you!" She gave her a hug, too.

"It's really good to meet you, Mrs O'Donoghue." Meg smiled, once mum had let her go.

Mum had that mock-stern look on her face, "It's Ailish. Come on in, and I'll make us a cup of tea."

I smirked at Meg, "Anyway, you're gonna be Mrs O'Donoghue, soon enough." I made it just audible enough for my mum to hear.

And she did, "Did I just hear you right, Daniel?!" she asked, beaming, "You're getting married?"

Meghan blushed as she looked away, making me laugh, "Yes, we are."

"And I've only just met her? You are in big trouble, Daniel O'Donoghue." she mock-warned, making Meghan laugh.

"It's going to be after the tour, yet, Ailish." she reminded her.

Apparently, she'd forgotten, "Ah, of course. Another 2 months, then you're touring, again. I expect you'll be going, Meghan, a talented girl like you?" Meg nodded, "It's good that Daniel's found someone in the music industry, like him. Look after him. You know what he's like." she chuckled.

"Mum! You're meant to be on my side!" I laughed.

The three of us just laughed, "I'll make us that tea." mum said, walking to the kitchen.

We spent the next few hours there, most of the time, mum just asking us, mainly Meg, questions. At about 3 o'clock, me and Meg stood up, "We'd better go and pack. Our flight's really early tomorrow." I said.

"Alright. Send me and invite, when you set a date."

"Of course we will, Ailish." Meg laughed. I'd always loved her laugh.
